We called at the Royal Oak as it was dog friendly, but it was also people friendly to. There was a warm welcome and the menu was no nonsense food from what I could see was all homemade food and locally made pies. Freshly peeled...More

We stopped here for a meal as a family. The food was superb and all home cooked, kids ate for £4 with a dessert and very generous portions. I had gammon and my partner had lasagne, nicest we have had on our week away visiting...More

Family stopped in for a drink very early one evening, but the welcome was bad, family were sitting in the bar eating their dinner when we arrived, and begrudgingly served us. Glasses were dirty place unfriendly and drinks VERY expensive.

What a wonderful pub to visit. The food is great with a wide variety of choice on the menu. The staff are always polite and willing to interact with you. Great place to go.

This is the third visit in 3 years. Very poor. Will not return. Beef was tasteless. Such a shame as in previous years it was tradionally tasty with no frills
