My son and I ate here on a trip to watch OKC play the Grizzlies. Food was GREAT. Service was even better. Great ribs. You must try the gumbo.

Front desk clerk recommended this restaurant over other more famous ones. She suggested my husband and I split the rib and catfish platter - what great advice! Half rack of ribs, catfish filet, coleslaw, baked beans, fries and toast. All for $19.99. We shared and...More
So glad we asked a local on Beale for a recommendation. “Best food on Beale”, they said. The BBQ ribs - delicious. Happy servers, too. The cafe has everyone from tourists to the local business crowd - a good sign, too. Highly recommend. I have...More
This was our third time in Blues City Cafe...directly across Beal Street from B.B. KINGS. We were quickly seated and served drinks. We had the ribs which were truly delious and River Catfish which were crispy and wonder. You won’t be disappointed with the foods,
Unprofessional place which fails to honor reservations but doesn't call you up to tell you . Never had restaurant do this. Nasty hostess. So many choices in Memphis and on Beake. Stay away from this tourist trap.
The band, The Hillbilly Casino were very good. We were disappointed with the food though. The chips were cold and the quality was poor but the staff were very nice and helpfull
Granted I'm not from the south so don't have much BBQ experience, but the ribs at Blues City Cafe were the best I've ever had. The clerk at the hotel recommended this restaurant, and it was spot on. Definitely worth stopping in.

This is such a fun place for dinner and great live music! We had the extreme pleasure of listening to the Brandon Cunning band while munching on good bbq. Great local beer, local music was up close and personal, and a fun crowd. Take it...More
I just have one word for your visit "barbeque shrimp", OK its more than one word but it is all you need to know. Like almost every place on Beale it is very informal but comfortable. My best advice when eating in Memphis is to...More
