Ethiopian food quickly moved to the top of my "Most Favorite" list. But, Ethiopian restaurants are either really good or bad, with nothing in the middle. Abyssinia was excellent, with the only problem being too much food. Those seeking vegan options would love the sample plate. Us meat eaters enjoyed it also, but we added goat to the meal. The... Ive been going here since 2009 and they have recently went under new management. Apparently "new management" doesnt appreciate the great cuisine they once served because now they have made it bland or as i was told "it has to be more american since its in america". I feel if i go to an Ethiopian restaurant i should get food... More

O.M.G. my brother took me here for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised. If you're looking for decor, don't, but the food was outstanding! The complimentary hot tea at the end of your meal was awesome! I now have a new lunch spot for my newly transitioned vegan diet.

Yum. Great, great Ethiopian food. We got goat stew and a vegetarian platter. Each dish was distinct and flavorful. The shared dinner had a combination of crunchy and smooth, sharp and soothing, strong and stronger. I've eaten a fair amount of Ethiopian food on the West Coast of the US. This was better than any of that. My friend suggested... More

Brought here for lunch by my driver. We met the owner who was very charming and nice. There is a buffet but we ordered off menu from the owner. The kitchen looks like your grandma's and very homey. The food was very good and we had some vegetables and meat dishes. All very delicious. Fanta for drinks.Best bet is to... More

So if you like Ethiopian food this is the authentic thing. They usually do not have goat, but lamb, beef and chicken. If you've never tried Ethiopian food this is a good introduction to a new set of flavors and culture. Big servings, angera bread. Ask the waiter Kalifa (quiet, polite man) the customs of how to eat the foods.

Great selection of Ethiopian dishes. Served nicely in a quiet atmosphere. Nothing fancy and beverage selections is very basic with sodas and water.

If you have never had Ethiopian food you are in for a treat. This place is very casual and inexpensive but the food is first class. Savory, fresh, the injera is the best I've eaten anywhere. They get a lot of carry out business so reservations are not required (we visited on a Tuesday night). We took the advise of... More

Lot's of tempting choices. Ethiopian food is carefully prepared and while spices are added they are not the mouth burning type. They are added to enhance flavor of the vegetables and sauces. I loved the potato salad which was just potato with vinegarette. It reminded me of a good german potato salad. I ordered the all vegetable plate. There were... More
