Definitely One of the best chicken places in the world . The chicken has a slightly spicy breading that is unique and delicious. It is not at all greasy. Parking is a disaster for a very good reason. There are A huge amount of leovals. There is only one handicap parking space but whatever The hassle it is worth it.... More

Ordered chicken for 8 people to pick up. The order was prompt as was the service. The chicken was hot, spicy and juicy. I'll be back!

I had not been to Gus's in years so I thought I would stop by on my way through town and pick up a family pack. I got the 12 piece with slaw and beans and white bread--I think it was $32. This chicken has just a little bit of spicy heat and you can get the hot sauce with... More

When we walked in, we know it would be good. Lots of local people and the place was packed. The chicken is a bit spicy, but I loved it. We also tried the fried green tomatoes and okra, Delish!

This place is the best fried chicken I've ever had. I am from Texas, but this stuff is better than Chicken Express, Grandy's and KFC combined. Nothing is better that I've had- even Babes in Roanoke. A must for all visitors who love food!

Atmosphere was good. Staff was nice. Chicken was definitely good, but spicy. There really aren't any other menu choices . . just chicken. I don't do spicy, so I peeled off the "crust" of the chicken, and I was fine. But for those of you who like/love spicy - this chicken is really good!!

Raised in the south with fried chicken being a normal weekend meal while I was growing up.. I had never found a place that could touch my mom's fried chicken. Well....... That is until I found Gus's. There's an awesome yet faint "heat" with this chicken that is very hard to duplicate. The recipe is supposedly over 75 years old..... More

Gus's has a secret recipe that puts all others to shame. It's spicy and always cooked to perfection. Sides are OK but the star is the chicken.

Wonderful fried chicken! A little bit of a kick in the chicken, absolutely wonderful! The mac n cheese was delicious too.
