We spent last weekend in Memphis and ended up eating at Rendezvous twice. We never had a bad meal there.

Fun location, large place, food was excellent even for our vegetarian friend. The food came out very quick. Staff very friendly and efficient. No frills. Food in baskets but delicious. Nice stop overall and reasonably priced.
We loved this place it truly is an iconic part of Memphis. Those who Say Charlie Vergos has changed I don’t see it. They are the same as the first time I ate here. You have to try many of the items on their menu...More
Thanks Rivers! So nice. We hope to see you back down soon! Come say hi when you do!
This restaurant was referred to us by the shuttle bus driver that dropped us off at the Hard Rock Café on Beale Street. Although we walked for quite some time looking for it, we finally came up the graffiti wall in the alley leading us...More
So sorry for the hard time finding us!! Second trip down will be easier :). Thanks so much for the 5-star review!
Our experience at Rendezvous was not as great as I was expecting. The restaurant is located down a back alley in Memphis, which gives it a ‘hole in the wall’ gem type of feeling with a beautifully colorful mural right across the street and the...More
The location was incredibly hard to find. Outside smells like a dumpster. Service was less than exciting. And the food was less than marginal. I don’t recommend this place at all.More
So sorry you had trouble finding us - especially since it is now so hot! We usually explain it by saying we are in an alley across Union from The Peabody Hotel. Its definitely an unconventional entrance, but it is where our father/grandfather opened up....More
We went here despite the recent reviews that the place was going downhill. Our neighbor recommended we stop here as the ribs were “fall off the bone”. 1 word: nope! They were way too chewy and not much taste. The service was good. They also...More
Hi, We are so sorry you didn't enjoy! The place heading downhill is news to us :). We are glad your neighbor recommended us, but sad you didn't enjoy the ribs. Our ribs definitely aren't supposed to fall off the bone - they have a...More
We went to this restaurant at the prompting of a friend who eats here regularly when in town. It was hard to find and down an alley. Once there, we were seated promptly and had a nice waiter. He was good about filling drinks and...More
I was walking not far from this restaurant but didn’t know it I asked people sitting outside another restaurant who were just drinking where I could get some traditional food they recommend this place I thoroughly enjoyed my ribs and found two little bowls alongside...More
Unfortunately, the reports of the demise of Rendezvous as THE place for ribs in Memphis are true. I have fond memories of past visits enjoying the succulent, fall off the bone spicy dry rub ribs. This time, they tasted more like beef jerky on a...More
Hi Thomas, We've not heard of the "demise of the Rendezvous" - that's news to us :) Our family is doing the same thing we've done now for 70 years. We cook our ribs in the same pit, with the same cut of meat as...More
