But not only that! This cafe gives Stranraer a place where interesting, delicious food can be had in really friendly surroundings. The cafe doesn't have huge presence on the street, and is so much more than its exterior suggests. My New York inspired beef and sauerkraut sandwich was really interesting and delicious. The cakes looked amazing and my wife had... More

Thank you for your feedback, we pride ourselves on offering things a little out of the ordinary. We love our Italian Hot Chocolate, it brings back happy memories of holidays past - especially from our children who still indulge as often as they can. We are going to be installing new signage and giving our exterior a lick of paint... More

Imagine my excitement when cycling through Stranraer and I noticed this little boudoir of a cafe sitting neatly at the end of Stranraer high street. I parked my bike and enquired if they served men in lycra? Yes they did, and what service!I had a beautiful flat white coffee with a toffee flap jack which was the taste supreme! Friendly... More

Popped in for an afternoon cup of tea and cake, what a pleasant surprise, the cafe was really busy but the waitress who very welcoming quickly cleaned the only free table and got us seated. The tea and cherry frangipane was very good. The rest of the menu interesting and good by the reactions of the other dinners. Definitely worth... More

The transformation from Stir It to The Fig & Olive has completely revitalised the former café into a fully fledged barista, with a beautiful coffee machine offering my personal favourite a "Flat White" coffee. The menu has been mixed up and now offers an array of choice and styles! Having a vegetarian "better" half I can say that the Fig... More

Having tasted Maria's food before, I knew that on my first visit to Fig & Olive I would not be let down. With a deep focus on all things flavour, the menu invites for a completely different experience compared with the rest of Stranraer. The staff are incredibly helpful and never without a smile. Having visited three times over the... More

From the minute we walked in the door we were warmly welcomed by the staff. The warm welcome really sets the Fig and Olive apart from the competition! The coffee and cakes were amazing whilst the service was quick and friendly. Will certainly be making a return visit in the very near future!
