This is the second time I have tried to use the app to order takeaway and the second time the app has hung. There is no option to oder in the cafe so I was left outside battling with the app. I gave up and...went 20 yards to TJ's dinner where you can walk in and order. So much easier and staff much more friendly.More

Stopped by on our trip North for a wee takeaway. Best soup I’ve had in a long long time (tomato and bean) and the salmon in the salmon salad was exceptional. Thank you Real Food Cafe for making our day

Had to wait in the rain as the restaurant was having a busy lunchtime. So maybe a shelter for all the customers waiting might be appropriate, even if temporary? We waited about 15 minutes and got a table, then were told we needed to register...and book our meals online. Maybe we could have been asked to do this while waiting outside? The menu selection looks very varied and it looks like there was something for everyone, including vegan, veggie and gluten free options. I went for the tomato and vegetable soup and roll which was just the thing for a chilly and drizzly day. Followed up with a slice of fruit cake and coffee. It was nice enough and service was friendly. Fish and chips looked like a good option but the portions looked generous for me for a lunch time. I would recommend this restaurant if you can just walk in.More

Ordering is done through an app which is understandable throughout Covid. The first thing we were greeted with was "we have wi-fi!" - strange greeting. The member of staff which seated us tried to be hospitable however came across as overbearing. Charging 35p for a...ketcup was a bit poor as this is generally offered free. My partner and I had a cooked breakfast each which didn't come with toast and wasn't particularly filling, it also came with a cup of tea, we also ordered 2 coffees which was not nice....this came to £30! This cannot be justified. Our plate were taken away from us almost as soon as we had the last bite. My plate was taken away as my partner was still eating which was just rude. We were not seated 2 metres from other customers on either side of us. The atmosphere was not warm and welcoming. The diner next door was a 5 star experience and is highly recommended.More

This is our local cafe and it's fantastic. Dogs are catered for and yes, it's hygenic! Staff are always lovely, cakes are exceptional. We think we witnessed the scenario that led to a one star review below and the simple answer is, don't be running...late for the ferry. The staff asked you to wait outside as you were getting takeaway.... as you were ruinning late!More

We stopped here on our trip up to Skye, hoping to get breakfast! From reading reviews on here I had realised I needed there app on my phone. So before we got there, while driving up, I logged on and created an account. I didn’t...order food then as we were unsure what time we would arrive. Anyway we got there, and we parked the car and I tried to log on with my phone, but alas no reception, so we got out of the car and went to get a table, one of the staff gave me a menu, and told me to order online, to which I replied I couldn’t get a signal, with that he just walked off. So we tried with my husbands phone, and still no signal. So as we couldn’t order any food, I can’t say what it was like. I realise that Covid has put a lot of strain on the hospitality business, but why on earth, the ordering of food and drinks just online is beyond me! We did manage to get breakfast across the carpark at another cafe. Where they had an app too, but you could also order normally!More

Thanks for your review, and your understanding of the frustrations covid has brought with it. We are very proud about what we do and in this instance probably haven't performed to the high standards we set. We currently have an obligation to limit people congestion...More

As our hotel had no restaurant we walked a few hundred metres to the Real Food Cafe. We chose an outside table and ordered online. A decent bottle of wine then jalapeno poppers and a salmon salad, and soup and vegan haggis with chips. All...arrived quickly, hot and tasty and filled us up perfectly.More

We had the small fish and chips each, plus a soft drink, homemade tartare sauce and ketchup - just over £19. We thought it was excellent.

We are a group of three walking the West Highland Way and have had a rather mixed impression of Scottish hospitality so far but the Real Food Cafe restored our faith. We visited three times over our stay in Tyndrum and each time had excellent...friendly service from Raul and delicious food. Most impressive of all was the manager making up for a mix up over breakfast food with a selection of his home made cakes as a treat for our picnic on the next stage. Thanks all.More

I’ve not tried so early but my reading of the menu is breakfast items are only served until 11, but other things are served all day. It is very good and the staff are lovely so i’m sure they’ll help if they can
