Visited Argyll Cafe twice. Once for afternoon desserts and another day for dinner. Although the dining area is small they found a way to accommodate our family of ten. All ten of us enjoyed our dinner which is no easy feat.

Just had the best Fish and Chips I've had for years in the Argyll Cafe, Lochgilphead. Light crispy batter and fish so fresh and perfectly cooked it melted in your mouth. Friendly attentive service too.

Great choice of food/cakes. Good value and all home-cooked to a very high standard. Run as a fish and chip shop with cafe adjacent. Food is really wholesome and good.
Two of us visited the cafe for a light lunch. We ordered from the cafe menu, not the fish & chip shop. Food was fine, prices were fine, all the staff were really friendly and helpful.
