Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a wonderful seafood restaurant with fabulous views over the water. We ordered delicious mussels & seafood stew for mains and a yummy lemon posset to finish. The service was perfect.

Every detail of this experience was perfect for us. From the walk across the beach to the restaurant, opening the door to the most amazing smell and beautifully laid out tables and décor, followed by the lovely warm welcome from the staff. The food was...absolutely stunning. It really was the best seafood meal we have eaten ever. Such care and attention had been paid to the preparation and serving of the food, with carefully selected ingredients to allow the seafood to be fully appreciated. The scallops were so good I chose them from the starter menu for dessert! Booking in advance is a must, they could fill their covers twice over at least.More

The food was brilliant - seafood was all fresh, well cooked and delicious. Managed to provide us with oysters when they weren’t sure it would be possible. Good communication via email. Server seemed harassed at first but settled in.

This is a real find, in a lovely setting overlooking Loch Indaal. The seafood platter is a must if you visit - lobster, langoustine, crab, scallops, along with a generous portion of chips! All the seafood is locally sourced. Good wine list too. Atmosphere friendly...and informal with a really enjoyable and non intrusive playlist to accompany your meal. Don't miss it!More

Fantastic not to be restaurant on Islay, check before you go what the seafood platter is so you can pre order one 24 hours in advance. We ordered one for the Mrs and she struggled to finish it but managed with a little help from...our son. The food is clearly very fresh ordered in for the same day and cooked to order, I had oysters to start which we ordered the day before and they were superb, I then had the scallops for mains were about 4 times as big as some I had the day before at a nearby restaurant! They were superb and the platter had langoustines, crab claws and scallops on it and it was a huge platter. The wines and beer options were good and well priced and the service was superb with great bag views to bootMore

We had a window seat with a lovely view. The waitress was friendly and helpful. We had seafood stew - excellent with a flavoursome tomato sauce and plenty of fish. The mussels were particularly nice, the only flaw was that the prawns were overcooked. And...salmon on Mediterranean vegetables which was delicious. The wine was pleasant and good value. Highly recommendedMore

Visited here on the first night of our holiday. The clue is in the name of the restaurant - seafood! We had scallops/mushrooms with blue cheese to start both were amazing - simply prepared and delicious. For mains I had the Scallop burger - which...was innovative and delicious, husband had the seafood stew and helped me with my mound of chips! No room for desert!More

Just got back from dinner here, and what a lovely dinner it was! We had Scallops and Cullen Skink for starters followed by a Scallop burger and Mussels for mains and they were all delicious! Great service, gorgeous food, and a lovely little restaurant. Just...a shame it's our last night on the island.More

Dined here with family and friends and we all felt disappointed with the meals we had. For starters we had mushrooms, scallops and pate which were nice. For mains we had sirloin steaks, prawn linguine and the seafood platter. Unfortunately the steaks were not cooked...to our liking (overcooked) and the seafood platter was very average. Of the mains we had, the prawn linguine was the better of the mains. I will give the restaurant its due that it reduced the bill due to our disappointment.More
