On a day visit to Tain with the dog we spied the gazebo outside and we were lucky enough to get a table. My stomach is still groaning from the food and not in a bad way. Good food, well cooked and plenty of it....COVID-19 regulations adhered to. Wish I lived here because I would here regularly.More

We dropped in on off chance last night, got a table, excellent service .friendly welcome really good food. Instead of looking around for another restaurant tonight. Guess what. We booked a table and went back , because food and service was that good. Only bad...point is it's not local to where I live.More

Stopping off from Skye to Dunnet, perfect pub restaurant. Limited menu but all very nice - really good chips, fish, hot dog, veggie burger... And a pulled pint - heaven. Staff were excellent!

Last went to celebrate my parents 60th anniversary. There was a large party of us including children and we could not have felt more at home. Such a relaxed atmosphere with a good variation in food, one dairy free and two vegetarians, was satisfied with...the menu. All 28 meals was superb. An easy walk from tbe high street but plenty of parking too.More

This is a regular port of call when we visit Tain and they never fail to deliver excellent food at a reasonable price with first class service. Well worth a visit

Had their chicken curry with half and half-half rice and half chips. Have had it before often. A great staple. Washed down with a oint of Guinness Extra Cold. Comfortable surroundings and friendly staff. Difficult to beat.

I have eaten here over the last two weeks, due to being in town for work. The food is fab. And the service equals it. Nothing is too much bother. And the staff are so attentive and friendly. I think they have recently under gone...a make over inside, the only fault I would say is that the condiments and sauces are served in something that you would expect to see in a road side cafe - but doesn’t alter the great food! (Oh and on the table there are these weird air plant - come - cactus - things. No need!) Great place and well worth the money. :-) (to add, i am a female travelling alone and felt very safe being in here on my own)More

Restaurant was pretty much booked on a Saturday night when we arrived without a reservation on our trip up North but manager was kindly able to squeeze our party of 8 in before the rush. So glad it was possible! Great meal, great staff and...great atmosphere! We’d visited about 4 years prior on another trip up North and so glad we decided to stop off again. Most enjoyable! 5*More
