After reading so many good reviews about RedPoppy before our holiday, we simply had to try it out last week. It was so good we went back 2 nights later! Our waitress was lovely, so friendly and welcoming and she gave us lots of tips on where to visit in the area (we never did make it to the cheese... More

Having booked to stay at a local B&B, (Craigvar, which was amazing!) we were recommended to go for our evening meal in the Red Poppy and we were not disappointed! On arrival the restaurant we were greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome. It was quiet at first but soon filled up with couples, friends and families out... More

We booked an early evening meal before a concert. When I booked I mentioned one of the four of us is coeliac, just to check there were options for him. The staff were brilliant on arrival. Three of us were given homemade bread, and gluten free was also provided for my husband. The meals were excellent and the service really... More

A full dining room tells a story even out of season. But beware - no orders after a rather early 8.00pm. Food good, (ate there twice), service fine although a bit lacking in atmosphere - but don't let that put you off. The fresh food (mussels excellent) more than makes up for it.

Great attentive staff, menu quite varied and suits all tastes. Internal surroundings pleasant ,outside decor needs a bit of a splash of paint to reflect the good things going on inside the building. Nice selection of local beers available along with many other options available to suit all tastes. Give it a go you won't be disappointed.

Decided to eat out as we weren't over keen on the hotel food where we were staying. So glad we chose Red Poppy! A warm welcome from the staff with friendly chat but not over intrusive. Tables are spaced nicely so no feeling of being on top of one another. Lots of good choices on the menu, including many locally... More

I have been in the red poppy several times, but just writing this review now. The standard of the food and the atmosphere is without doubt the best in the area, in my opinion. The portions are huge but they are always beautifully presented. They always seem to come out with lovely twists on local specialties. The desserts are always... More

Went here as food in hotel we were staying at was very poor. Prices reasonable and quality of food we had was very good. Nice staff. Would come again and recommend.
