This lovely little coffee shop offers some of the best coffee in Scotland with a choice of oat milk, almond milk, cow’s milk, and coconut milk. There’s a selection of delicious baked goods -- if you’re early enough. The little ginger squares or the rocky...road are excellent.More

Visited the Slaughterhouse for coffee yesterday while holidaying in Cromarty. As COVID restrictions are still in place it is not possible to sit inside this lovely little cafe at the moment but it is definitely still worth a visit and you can still sit outside....The coffee is excellent as were the malteser tray bakes 😋 and the lady who served us was very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our coffee so much we bought some coffee beans to take home with us too.More

Quirky, excellent location, wonderful staff and terrific coffee. A must visit before or after you explore the beaches.

First time for me as my normal haunts for coffee and cake - Royal Hotel and Sutor Creek were both shut. I had checked online first and established that this would be an option. There was a small bike rack but i preferred to lean...mine against the wall in case the paint got scraped. Front has lots of outside seating, some slabs and gravel - which my carbon soles didnt like too much. Seating area inside is very small and dominated by stove which made it nice and cosy after a freezing cycle. Friendly staff, various coffee options and a small selection of cakes / tray bakes. I went for a large cappucinno (£3) and muffin. Both were very tasty but i did check it was a large when i saw the cup size. There is a single spacious toilet located at the end of the serving area. In fact it felt like an Alice in Wonderland moment - leaving the tight seating area - expecting an equally small toilet - and being surprised to find something far more cavernous. An illusion of space! Everything was clean and well maintained. I will try the Slaughterhouse again!More

This is a very likeable, small and cosy cafe with friendly service. We went twice over a long weekend and it was busy both times. Excellent coffee.

When we discovered our regular cafe stop in Cromarty was closed we were very disappointed, but the warm welcome, excellent coffee and DIY toast were very welcome. And what a great location - watching the ferry coming in and out, and the wildlife passing by....This is as far from a Starbucks or Costa as you can get - the outside seating (there isn't much space inside) is made from old plastic crates with planks attached, and the tables are old cable drums!More

A lovely quirky little coffee stop by the ferry. So friendly in fact all the people from several places in the world and the locals agreed to a selfie. Good coffee too.
