Just back from a week in Achiltibuie; and we ate both Thursday and Friday night in Am Fuaran. The hosts are warm & welcoming, and it's a lovely and cosy place, with a fabulous log fire. The food was soo delicious. I do love Am Fuaran!

This is an incredibly cosy restaurant which serves delicious local food. We have been a few times on our recent trip north and will definitely be back every time we're in the area. Highly recommended! Only downside is that dogs are not allowed.

Staying at the nearby chalets we walked up to the bar one night to have a meal and a few drinks. The food was the best we had on our trip. The scallops starter was so tasty. As it was a quieter time of year the bar was quiet but we played a couple of games of pool before heading... More

We stayed at the campsite at the bottom of the road and ate in the restaurant on our second night. A scallop diver we'd got chatting to the night before (he'd come up from Kent over 20 years ago and stayed) suggested we try any of the seafood in the restaurant so we booked a table for the following night... How brilliant we found this bar open on our bike ride. A lot of places are closed by October (tea-room wise) so we resorted to trying to find a pub or bar. Although a lovely warm day, we were getting very hungry and thirsty but couldn't face the wonderful menu with the recommended local seafood but it was no trouble... More

Wow!! Fantastic food. Completely unpretentious good honest food. My surf n turf was a succulent moist rib eye steak topped with 3 beautiful queen scallops, my husbands was the same but topped with 4 succulent garlic buttered king prawns!! You have to visit this place, although. Poking is advisable.

A relatively limited menu; showcasing the best of the area, using local food wherever possible, with a seafood specials board, depending on the catch/weather. Francesca's cooking is sympathetic and inspired. No airs and graces, just perfectly cooked food. The best lobster I've ever tasted. Here's the thing - don't think it's an ou of the way place and just turn... More

Set by the sea, this restaurant has a menu with local seafood as a speciality but other dishes and vegan/vegetarian options. A friendly staff and excellent service make for a great visit! It seemed busy so booking is probably worthwhile!

We had to review the amazing food in what appears a very ordinary Scottish highland bar, but it offers extraordinary quality food. Honestly cooked honestly presented delicious food. So fresh and lovely were the Scallops and fish plus steaks to die for, plus the chickens and mushroom pie (purse) Yes, I ate my way through much of it my mouth... More

We had a family dinner here and it was great they had a vegan option but no dessert for me. The family enjoyed their food and desserts though.
