My experience of remote cafes / tea rooms or restaurant is not good. You are often charged excessively for not even mediocre fare. This little out of the way tearoom blew everything out of the water. We had two different soups between us, both were as good as you get in any top restaurant in Glasgow or Edinburgh. I also... More

This is one of the nicest cafes I have ever been to in one of the most wonderful glens in Scotland. Go and do not delay. We were cycling. The cakes are fantastic and the proprietor very skilled at making them

We hadn't planned on stopping and eating, but when we spotted the outside tables outside of this very quaint post office/cafe/shop overlooking the river, we had to pull over. We honestly weren't expecting much, but ordered hopefully. We were warmly greeted from the counter and quickly decided from the short blackboard menu on chocolate Guinness cake and a scone with... We've popped in here a couple of times over the last few years, and always been met with a smile. We only stopped for a cuppa and a scone this time, but WHAT a scone!! Enough to feed two, but we manfully made our way through the layers of thick cream, jam and delicious, fresh scone. Lovely people, beautiful surroundings... More

A few years ago we stumbled upon this little tea room with home made soup and cakes and very recently we found it again. We were served tea in proper China cups and saucers which we loved, eat lovely sandwiched and some of our group had they soup which was also just as tasty, and as for the cakes you... More

A first time visit to refuel after a short stroll around the nearby forest. The cakes were outstanding especially the Carrot cake and the lads thought the hot chocolate drinks were some of the best ever..and certainly they weren't short on toppings of cream and marshmallows. Service was brilliant especially the young gent who appeared to be helping out during... More

We called into the tea room on our way back from a walk and were greeted with gorgeous homemade soup and possibly the best carrot cake we have ever tasted. This coupled with a friendly host (who gave us some really helpful advice on road conditions before the start of our walk), lovely Glen Lyon coffee and beautiful surroundings makes... More

We always try to make one autumn trip up what many see as the loveliest Glen in Scotland. This time we forsook cake and had delicious home made pea and bacon soup with very good bread.

What a joy to travel through unspoiled glen: river, valley and mountains. Fantastic 25 miles of single pass road including one post office and partially hidden castle.

Superb tea room in the wilds of highland Perthshire. Well worth the 60 mile trip from Perth. Scones piled high with proper cream - wonderful!
