My husband and I stayed in Fochabers for the weekend and both had a haddock supper on Saturday night. Shop was busy but we didn't have a long time to wait. Lovely light crispy batter on pure white flaked haddock and the chips were perfectly...cooked, couldn't be better. Free wooden forks or plastic forks were just 5p.More

Too busy and too much waiting

Nooooo chips. However Black pudding spices are nice

Black pudding spices are nice BUT chips are severely undercooked. Tried multiple times and do not think I’ll be back. Sorry but ya have took the chips and they have to have taste. They taste of nothing.

Why the awards ?

Moved to the area 4 months ago and tried all the chip shops , done this one 3 times and each time the chips were undercooked and stank of bad fat. Black pudding was the only decent thing we had. Three times is enough to...get it right and they failed miserably. Thankfully we found a great chippy at Portknockie.More

Brilliant as always

Don’t what is wrong with ‘ incomer ‘Angela’ but we have been going here for yonks. Well done all for keeping things going, it is much appreciated by all in Fochabers and beyond. Good buzzer system to make sure no one is waiting too long...for take out. VERY generous sized portion of haddock cooked just right, thin crispy batter and non greasy chips topped off with a generous helping mushy peas and homemade tartar sauce. Keep it up folks.More

Totally underwhelmed

Recommended! What a HUGE disappointment. The taste of the cooking fat was disgusting. Undercooked chips and batter. The “large “ haddock was not. Thank goodness for curry sauce , it masked some of the horrid aftertaste. The best!

Best fish and chips ever! Huge haddock with dry crispy chips and free homemade tartare sauce. Can’t fault it.

Magnificent fish and chips - very much 5 star

This is just about the best fish and chip shop we have ever visited. Fish and chips were excellent, service was pleasant and the price was very reasonable. Well done!
