From arriving thought we had made a mistake. 7.00pm and no one else there. Young lad waiting was pleasant enough and attentive. Possibly because he had nothing else to do! Didn't see any one else enter while we were there. Starters were fair, some mayo with the White bait would have been nice Lamb main was full of bits of... More

Whilst staying locally we looked for a place to eat, from the outside it looked inviting so we decided to give it a try, the menu was varied with a good overall selection, we ordered steaks and a mixed grill, steaks were cooked as we ordered and with a nice peppercorn sauce, not from a packet, and a good sized... Weren't sure about this place but decided to give it a go. Food ok, not high end but good standard of home cooking. The mixed grill was huge (or looked it) and there was certainly enough to fill you up for other options. The Waiter was quite sweet, very young but very friendly and respectful. Would eat here again,

Have eaten here several times in the past and no complaints but on t the latest occasion I'm afraid standards have slipped. We waited ages before anyone came to take our order for lunch. The faggots were nice but far too large, one would have been sufficient, and not enough gravy to soak up the mash. The sausages were disgusting,... More

We received a very warm welcome as we went into the bar area of this hotel and immediately felt at home. As it was early we had no trouble finding a table and the service was swift and efficient. It was lunch time and all food is cooked to order and arrived piping hot. We enjoyed the ambience of this... More

Whilst visiting Wareham on a Sunday we wanted a drink but there were not many places open so we called into The Anglebury, it is a very old building and as you enter there is a restaurant on the left and bar on the right. It is a small old fashioned bar but quite cosy, there were a couple of... More

Whilst visiting Wareham from Swanage, decided to have lunch at The Anglebury. We were very impressed with the facilities and service provided. The young Waiter appeared to be nervous but did a great job. The food was very good, well presented and at a reasonable price. Will put it on the list of places to visit again. Shocked to see...
