We had lunch here and enjoyed it. Wine by the glass was excellent, if a bit pricey, and the local beers very tasty. My ciabatta was a bit heavy on the mustard but otherwise very good value, and everything was cheerfully served in a pleasantly presented space.

We stopped here for a late lunch and ordered fish and chips. Unfortunately when it arrived the chips were cooked on the outside but hard on the inside. The fish was undercooked and soggy on the inside. We spoke to the waitress who directed us to her manager who was extremely defensive, and asked us what we wanted to do... More

Today, eleven of us went here for lunch. The guy dealing with us was polite, friendly and helpful, as was the waitress. After over an hour our meals started to drip through. Some lovely, some average. It became apparent that there were three meals missing. Having only 30 mins left on our three parking tickets, we cancelled the orders. The... More

What a pleasent experience we had. We went to Corfe the Friday night before Christmas and on the off chance decided to have dinner. They were very friendly and welcoming and the chef, personally, discussed my partners gluten free requirements and produced a wonderful meal. The waiting staff were fun and cheeky, without being rude and very helpful. Well worth... More

This is a great bit of coastline and a great pub to break up a walk. We eat here on Christmas Eve, very busy but well worth the wait for a table. Wholesome pub food backed up by great service and local beer. We have eaten here before in the summer and enjoyed eating in the large garden

For a pub lunch this place surpasses expectations with a varied menu to suit most tastes, and really good, well thought out, well prepared dishes. The burger is especially good, being genuinely home produced and beautifully seasoned with proper slip-on chips. Service is friendly and informative. Cosy atmosphere too, and would have given 5 stars but for their inexplicable decision... More

Lovely cosy table by the fire as restaurant empty.. Thursday in December! Starter and main course delicious.. good, varied choice. Desserts sadly, had poor choices tho what we had was nice but very simple compared to the rest. Service excellent from lovely New Zealand waiter. Only other fault was that you got the feeling they were waiting for you to... More

We dropped into the Bankes Arms for lunch on a day trip out to Corfe Castle. The pub itself is lovely and the staff are very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately this lovely pub is let down by the food. The starter was acceptable but my main course was appalling. I ordered the tuna niscoise salad. It was a plate of... More

Friendly prompt service from everyone in the establishment. Roaring log fire. Enjoyed the blond Ringwood Brewery beer, less so the caramel flavoured 49er.

A good place to have a good beer and good food and a bit of train watching in the lovely beer garden. Good WiFi but only inside the main bar. The signal does not reach the garden. By sharing your experiences, you're helping travellers make better choices and plan their dream trips. Thank you!
