Highly recommend visiting. Great warm welcome and had the minute steaks which were superb. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. You have to try it if you are in the area.

Staying in tuckenhay for a week and the Maltsters is just a few yards away. Can’t believe some of the negative reviews in trip advisor. Good greeting on arrival, lovely table, prompt service, friendly staff and excellent food. Minute steak brilliant. Sole with 4 scallops...More

Ignore negative reviews, the staff are friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and the prices very reasonable. We ate Sunday lunch which was really lovely. The beef and pork were cooked beautifully. We took our friends a few days later for an evening meal...More

Food was generally good but service poor and dis-organised. The management was not apparent and the young staff work very hard trying to look after the customers and are running up and down the stairs as kitchen is on the floor below.

We too visited the malsters arms yesterday at lunch time and agree with the previous post in that the staff were indifferent and the food was nothing special and over priced with no availability of snacks. The pub itself is looking tired and well past...More

We arrived via boat and were extremely pleased to be able to moor outside the establishment. Then everything went downhill. There was no clear sineage to the bar, past the beer barrels in the car park. There were no sandwiches or light lunch available on...More

Arrive by dinghy on the rising tide to the pub's own jetty. Don't be put off by the natural, laid back feel...... Less is more here. Great welcome and service from delightful crew. Keith Floyd lives on..... The quality food was excellently cooked and presented....More
