Excellent dinner on the Sunday before NYE 2018. The place was full, but a very good atmosphere, excellent, cheerful service and a good choice on the menu. Plenty of local produce. No hesitation in recommending, but you should book.

Yes, the Village Inn is a dog friendly place. There are often a few dogs in there when I've visited, with and without my pet!

Yes they do, we asked for a table to make sure ours wasn't in the way and actually had a bench like sit for one person so the dog could curl up under the chair and table and was very comfortable.
