I pop in here all the time to eat as the meals and service are amazing. The choice of breakfast and many other choices of food on the menu. Coffee is great. Seating downstairs, upstairs and outside. Accessible for wheelchairs. You can sit outside with your dog. The view outside is outstanding. If you are in Shaldon then definitely visit... More

Situated at the mouth of the river. Clean and well presented, one unisex toilet. We only stopped for a coffee, which was very nice. Service good. Interesting choice of food on the menus.

After a disappointing brunch at The View in Teignmouth we decided to try brunch over in Shaldon at The Strand Cafe and it did not disappoint! Despite the cafe being really busy with people out on festive walks, everyone that came in was greeted in a friendly way and served promptly. I had the Eggs Benedict which was delicious! My... More

Went in here on a whim last week and was very pleasantly surprised. The staff are great and the food really is second-to-none.. highly recommend the breakfast options as we found them to be the best breakfasts we'd had in a long, long time!

The refreshing decor drew us in to a beautifully presented bistro type cafe overlooking the sea front. The roasted pumpkin soup was tasty and wholesome, the fish soup was exceptional. Coffee was very good and the prices were reasonable. Staff were helpfull and pleasant throughout. Another one for the return list. As we walked away, we noticed a seal about... More

We found The Strand Cafe by chance whilst walking the South West Coastal path- it is situated right on the path as you get to cross on the ferry. A lovely find- bright, fresh interior, welcoming staff and delicious brunch menu, ideal for hungry walkers. I had the soup and warm crispy bread, which was delicious while my husband had the... More

My wife and I went here for a late lunch after a walk along the SW Coast path from Maidencombe. Our food was really tasty. I had croque monsieur, my wife had a savoury croissant. Quality ingredients. The waiter was friendly and the ambience inviting and relaxing.

We've visited a few times over August and really enjoyed the menu - and for me, one of the best carrot cakes (and generous portions) I've had! Nice friendly service and a stunning location.

We visited Shaldon in mid-August, came over on the little ferry boat from Teignmouth marina, to go and visit the Smugglers' tunnel and beach. All very picturesque, but we had not expected a genuine Bistro right on the beach. The variety and quality of food is superb and the staff most helpful, so the only criticism is the 'oversight', that... More
