Prime spot on Torcross this pub is always popular and known for fine fish and chips! Usually its packed, but we made it there on a wet day at 1.45, so were able to get lunch quickly with no problem. Two of us ordered fish mine with salad and friend had prawn sandwich. The fish was delicious, light batter and... More

This has to be the worst place we had fish and chips. I think they need to return that chef on how to cook fish properly. And I do know my fish that without a doubt they did not serve me cod that was some cheap scrag end rubbish and had the bloody cheek to charge over £10 for that... More

Had a great early evening, sun still out. Great place to drop in for a reasonably priced freshly cooked meal.

Lovely pub. Nice atmosphere. Great location. However, after visiting three times in a week and there being no hand wash or sanitiser and empty bottles just left near the wash basin on every visit was disappointing.

The inn hosted a gathering after a friend's funeral. They were great with lovely buffet snacks. Thoroughly recommended.

We visited for a late lunch and found the service swift and cheerful. The food was average and certainly not cheap as seems to be usual in the area. We live near Bath and rather surprisingly we find it possible to have very good food at very reasonable prices.

Reasonably attentive service but this place is what hippies would term 'a dive'. I, for one, kept expecting a gang of bikers to walk in. Frozen food-badly cooked-and over priced. The fish was greasy and unpleasant and the bar staff did not highlight the merits of the specials board, which was cheaper than the main menu. AND included a healthier salad.... More

Visited the pub with 4 adults, 3 children (8, 10 & 11). Its nice enough with a varied menu. Food was OK, we had a bit of pizza bread that was completely black however everyone ate their food and its very economical. Service was good.

We had lunch here this week. Nice spot to sit outside (shame about the smokers chaining away in one corner). The staff are so friendly. We had to wait quite a while for our food which was strange as it wasn't that busy. Clearly our order had somehow been lost in the system and they were very apologetic offering free... More
