We went with friends who had bought me this meal for my birthday. A flatiron steak turned out to be shoulder which needs slow cooking to be tender thus our steaks were tough . Two were sent back , one was just edible on return. A nearby table also left theirs . The scoops of ice cream were the smallest... More

My wife and I called in for lunch on Good Friday. Becasue we'd arrived early, we had a drink in the bar to start with. Unfortunately, we found the place grubby - see my pictures - with bread and cheese debris clearly left on the floor from the evening before. Not a great start. We went to the bar to... More

We had a fabulous week in Exmouth, staying by the harbour. Sadly, we didn't actually eat here, but can happily vouch for the excellent SB and the lovely ambience. Staff very quickly got used to us and made us feel relaxed.

We went to The Point on a steak night. We both had a great flat iron steak and a bottle ofred wine. Meal was excellent value, the staff were great . Good ambience. Definitely a great find.

Best time to eat at the Point is on a Wednesday night when you get two steaks & a bottle of red wine for just £ 25.00 - excellent value & the steaks are really good. Menu is varied with a good selection if you do not want to eat steaks.

My wife and I had dinner here last night. (Wednesday 6th April) The restaurant advertised a £25 meal for two which included an rump steak with chips and salad each and a bottle of Pinot Grigio wine for two, the meal was very well cooked by the chef and most enjoyable, the location is directly attached to the harbour with... I would imagine this place gets a lot of passing trade from people waiting for the river cruises and water taxis. To be fair, it is a very nice looking place, very clean and tidy, but maybe not the best location considering the decent bars in the centre of town. There was a pretty good drinks selection and the food... More

Poor Service. Poor welcome. We had phoned earlier in the day to change the time. Received a phone call en route because the message not passed on. Ladies toilets dirty. Small portions. Potatoes reheated and basic salad from a bag. Desserts were a highlight. We weren't asked if we would like more drinks at any point or whether our food... More

We have eaten here twice in the last month, once in the evening and once at lunch. Both occasions had the steak and chips and my son had the burger. Steak was cooked perfectly, chips, salad, mushrooms and tomatoes all very good. The burger was huge and came with ham hock and came with homemade onion rings and chips which... More

We decided to eat at the Point for lunch and arrived 'on spec'. We ordered our food, my wife a Cod, please and Chips, my a Burger! The food arrived swiftly well presented and hot. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, my burger quite the best that I have ever had. My wife loved her meal as well. Recommend this... More
