I was in Dittisham for a lunch function and the Anchor Stone Cafe happened to have the largest dining space to cater for almost 50 to 60 people. Anyway, the food was of a wide variety and tasted good. By the way, it is a long walk from the Dittisham village centre to the Cafe which is beside the River... More

Love this place!! Coffee is great, food is scrumpy and the service is always friendly. Situated on the park so kids can have a play and the dog can have a run out too.

We ate lunch here and turned up not realising we should book. (It is worth noting that the first covers from 12 have to be booked but from there on its first come first seated). The landlord did his best to accommodate us and we enjoyed a great lunch. It was very busy due to half term but I noted... More

Warm welcome, great view, fresh fish, kids size in all meals and a new pink paint job. You have to feel sorry for the crabs. Recommend.

View to die for! Exceptional sea food and local Sharphams Winery wine too! What's not to love. This place does get very heavily booked so recommend calling to reserve a table before hand not too be disappointed.

We visited in October during the school year and found this place very quiet. I can imagine it being packed in the summer months and peak times. We had the hot chocolate on a lovely sunny day and shared a delicious slice of cake (well, a home made rocky road) Yummy. Fantastic location, lovely views and tasty snacks. Heaven!

We have been here many times and will keep going. Fabulous fresh fish in a stunning location. Great service and good wine. Wish we could book other than early but understand why

Everything you want after a long walk. The food was superb and the staff excellent. Time after time I would visit this place. Wonderful location and as I said lots of choice. Anyone in the area it is a must.

We have been to Anchorstone a few times over the years - usually on our way to or from somewhere so have just enjoyed their crab sandwiches - which are the best you'll find - but never had anything off the cooked menu. This visit we had all the time in the world! We were given a table over looking... More

Lunched at The Anchor Stone as a result of our intended choice, The Ferry Boat Inn next door, being full up. We were very glad we did. The tables are set up, semi-alfresco but under cover, overlooking the River Dart and, always dependent upon good weather of course, the view whilst eating is really brilliant. Service was good but, as... More
