Having taken the bus from Bishopsteignton to Dawlish we walked up the coastal path to Dawlish warren and it's excellent beach. Since it was a glorious day we decided to walk back and we were ready for some lunch on our return. We have been to the Old Mill tea rooms many times and always been very satisfied with the... More

This was a place I'd not been to in a while, wasn't disappointed. A location with a history and a working water wheel, facing the brook. Parking is not ideal but I'd recommend not passing on foot without calling in. The tearoom is light and fresh and furnishings are New with touches of tradition around. A simple menu and reasonably... We popped in here for a quick cuppa whilst having a wander round, It was a charming little tea room, the staff were very polite. We had a cup of tea each and it was served in the pot with some complimentary biscuits. The cakes looked beautiful they were home-made and smelled delicious!! We would definitely recommend this place to... More

We have been coming to the old mill tea room for over 12 years every summer. They always had large home made scones (three varieties) with clotted cream and loose leaf tea . All fresh and superb quality and not too expensive. Two years ago I went in August with six family members expecting the usual high standards. What we... More

A regular stop off on route home to sample their excellent cream tea. Lovely big pot of tea with homemade scones & plenty of jam & cream. Friendly little place with great staff & even better if the weather is nice & you can sit in the courtyard next to the watermill

The Old Mill Tea Rooms is a must for those people strolling around the town of Dawlish. The service was good, the Mill wheel is being restored, and the history behind it is quite outstanding. Altogether a very good experience
