The Warren House Inn has a fantastic location, the pub itself is old but extended but the atmosphere is good with friendly staff. The views over the Moors are stunning. However the food lets it down slightly. I had the Steak pie, which was moist and excellent, but it came with chips and fresh veg, there was no gravy and... More

Visited this pub when cycling on Dartmoor. We ordered delicious Fish and Chips which arrived quickly! Great service and very helpful staff. Would recommend it!

I read lots of reviews with children being banished to a cold 'family room', which somewhat put me off. However, my experience was different when I visited with my 11 year old daughter (during a wild camping weekend) - when I asked where we could sit she replied "sit anywhere you like, except on the reserved tables". The pub is... More

Beautiful setting, stunning building, yummy drinks and food absolutely delicious. Excellent sized portions, the steak and ale pie was incredible. I was only disappointed I didn't have space for dessert. Friendly polite staff, clean and good value for money. I cannot praise this lovely place enough. Will return for sure on our next trip to Dartmoor.

This has to be one of the most overpriced microwave meals I have ever had. I ordered aubergine bake. Inedible tasteless microwaved gloop. My husband ordered the roast. He had a couple of dried up potatoes and a piece of beef that could have been used to repair the soles of his shoes with. On top of it all we... More

We arrived with minutes to spare before the pub stopped serving food. The barman rushed into the kitchen and ensured we could eat, providing us with vegetarian dishes (and vegan soup) and a massive side of British Pub Grub Chips. Yum. The barman was attentive and chatty, seemed a really nice chap and we hope to visit again. There was... More

The moor on the approach roads to Warren Inn was stunningly beautiful. The gorse blossom had recently come out and the moor was reflecting the anticipation of spring. We were aiming for the Warren Inn and lunch, being more familiar with the Two Bridges Hotel, which is passed on the way. The exterior of the Warren Inn is not grand,... More

The sun shone for the first time for what seemed like forever and it was Friday, so we decided to do some recon for our friend who is bringing over some Americans for a walk on Dartmoor. They are walking from Widecombe in the Moor to the above inn for supper along the Two Moors Way. Being a lazy bugger... More

After a walk near Moretonhampstead, four of us stopped here for lunch at noon. Being a lovely sunny day during the school Easter holidays, we had reserved a table just in case it was too busy. There was a good atmosphere with lots of people both inside and outside the Inn. Lunch was quickly served and was very tasty and... More
