Bistro 35 is run by the owner Annabelle Gregory, who is also an excellent artist. I always enjoy my visits to the Bistro 35 as it is unique, owner run and a great place to meet your friends and enjoy a good conversation.

What a wonderful find this was. We were two Dads with 4 kids looking for good hearty, healthy food, and we were so well looked after. Everyone had meals cooked to order and lots of fresh veg from the garden, with lots of customisation and improvisation from Annabelle along to the way. Couldn't have been happier.

We popped in here on spec on Bank Holiday Friday, having failed to find food near to Bantham. The place is just gorgeous, and it makes such a change to find genuinely eclectic decor, wonderful art, and bric a brac that hasn't been mass-produced in ersatz form by a pub or restaurant chain. Friendly staff and a tasty fish soup... More

This small, cosy bistro is located next door to the Exeter Arms, and opposite the White Hart Hotel. You enter into a very comfortable lounge/bar, with a small dining area to the right. On the night I popped in, they were hosting a film night and weren't serving food, but customers can come in just for a drink if they... More

We weren't sure why the restaurant wasn't full on Bank Holiday Friday apart from some pleasant locals in the cosy wine bar. We had a delicious seafood chowder and a specially made salad from Annabelle the chef's garden. The local sausages and mash were perfect as was the salad nicoise - a welcome fresh and healthy change when eating out... More

Having recently arrived at a nearby caravan site I couldn't be bothered to cook so went in search of food. It all looked okay, very unusual décor, lots of stuffed animals. We were offered the board to look at and there wasn't a huge choice, admittedly it was a Sunday so we chose a cheese platter and a meat platter.... More

We popped into this restaurant with our two young-ish children on a Saturday evening as it looked friendly and informal. The food was just ok, the atmosphere rather strange. In an age when adults look to safeguard children, the loos are completely inappropriate. The walls are covered with pictures of semi-clad women in the men's toilet, and semi-clad men in... More

Atmosphere good - love the quirky bar area and the dining room is lovely too. Main courses were very good - lamb shank and accompaniments were generous, my cannelloni could have had more salad in a separate bowl rather than in with the pasta. Cheese board good but pavlova not - it should be a gooey meringue with whipped cream... More

Ate here on a Saturday night - looked cosy and busy...little did we know they were all there for a drink, not food. It was made fairly obvious why. Horrendous food, frozen cheap chips and frozen onion rings with the steak. Steak cooked well but no taste. They shouldn't have put the salad on the side as it would have... More

Terrible food unfortunately. Worst in ages. Frozen vegetables overcooked. Think they nipped to the co-op down the road to the freezer section to stock up. Now realise why it was empty on a Saturday night. Wine bar was packed and all rather jolly. Chilly restaurant as bar drinkers constantly walking past our table to go outside for a fag then... More
