A great pub with great staff, food and fantastic live music most Saturday's. The best pub I have ever been to. A must visit time-and-time again.

Staying within the local area on holiday with the partner & found this pub by chance (purely based on the fact the other half needed to watch the footie!) We arrived at 7:45pm & ordered our meals (2 for £11.50). I ordered the Braised Steak with chips&peas, the OH had steak pie, chips&peas also. The meals were delicious! The staff... More

I have been in here half a dozen times over about a decade. It has always been pleasant but this week, my first visit in a while it felt more welcoming and hospitable. A good feel and from the signs it has a lot more going on and definitely it seems to be on the up.

Brilliant pub, everyone welcome. Staff very friendly and Dave the landlord always available for a chat and a laugh. Various entertainment nights through the week, with the Thursday curry night being a personal favourite. Cheap food, normal bar price drinks in welcoming and friendly pub.

On the way home at lunch time a snack and a pint was called for in Ivybridge was called for. BBQ pork ribs and chips went down, at a very good price too. Complete with a pint of the great Jail Ale. Well worth a visit if your in the area.

It was gone 2 p.m. and we needed lunch and a drink somewhere our dog would be welcome. We didn't know the area and were really lucky to find The Duke of Cornwall today. It was clean, the few customers and staff were very welcoming and food was available. The only downside was having to pay 70p to park for... More

It looks like a normal small pub in any street but on entering it was plain to see that this was no ordinary pub. The landlord was a character and a half and went out of his way to make sure that my young son was happy and well catered for. The food was amazing and lots of it too.... More
