We only wanted a light lunch as we were out for dinner in the evening so we ordered the seafood platter which was a sharing dish. It was very nice and under the circumstances adequate but could have done with a 'bit more' e.g. Some...More

Six of us ate here having pre-booked for a mid-week meal. A beautiful looking pub and stylish restaurant but we were all very dissapointed. Began with our pre-dinner drinks which took 15mins to arrive, one of us who had ordred a cocktail from the menu...More

Playing golf at nearby Bovey Castle, needing to stay 2 nights, but we preferred to stay in what we hoped was a typical country inn. Yes, it is, in the centre of Chagford, a lovely small Devon town on the east side of Dartmoor. Although...More

The food we had with friends was delicious and well served in the restaurant. Good value for the quality. Poor service in the bar having to wait to mins to be served a drink means that i am forced to mark this down one star.

Just got back from a meal at the Three Crowns. We opted for the trio of pork at £17.50. All I can say is that it was the smallest meal I've ever had. I finished it in two minutes and was still hungry. I didn't...More

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
I'm considering booking a room in May for a special anniversary. Can the hotel organise anything special, e.g. champagne, flowers etc.? On a general note what is the wine and beer selection like, and what's the average cost for a large glass of wine/pint of beer? Finally, I see there is limited parking. What alternatives are there if full? Thanks in advance for any help given.
