Our visit here before 7pm where there were 2 courses for £18 was really exceptional. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the wine and professed to have tried them all!! So making a selection was easy. The service was quick but not hurried and the...More

This was our second visit to Lytehouse and it was even better than the first. The owner is a trained sommelier and put on a wine tasting for us with the pre-7pm prix fix menu at my wife’s request. Unlike other wine tastings, which come...More

We visited based on the TripAdvisor reviews and the only disappointment was that we had not visited earlier. The food was top quality as were the wines. All the food was freshly prepared and even the ice-cream was home made (which was the best I...More

Thank you for taking the time to review Lytehouse. This is clearly an experience you had some months ago, so it is difficult to recall you personally. It is at least four months since we had pearl barley on the menu. My husband (the chef)...More

We have eaten at The Lytehouse several times and it is by far our favourite restaurant in Brixham. Lovely ambiance, attentive and friendly service and great background music! The food is imaginative, beautifully presented and tastes sublime.

Yes, faultless. There should be more restaurants like this. Good, simple, robust food. Well cooked, well seasoned, well balanced dishes. Add in friendly service, reasonable prices and an interesting wine list and what's not to like!?
