Lovey little cooked breakfast. Next time I might ask to have toast instead of fried bread as they’re not exactly generous with the toast and the fried bread was very oily indeed. Won’t stop me returning one day.

Always stop here for a cream tea when we go up to berry head. Good value for a really scrummy fresh (still warm) scone and posh tea pig tea bags!

I think a better estimate would be about 40-50 minutes, unless you are a very fast walker!

It's about a mile and a half from Brixham harbour and quite up hill. You can stop for a rest around half way at the Berry Head Hotel though and the final climb is under the shade of trees. Lovely walk...

The Guardhouse Café offers superb locally sourced food and drink in one of the South Coast's most stunning locations, Berry Head Nature Reserve with panoramic views over the South Devon Coastline. Only a short walk from the car park the Café is open daily from 9am to 5pm (4pm in winter) for coffee, tea, drinks, breakfast, snacks & lunch. Fully licensed, children friendly and dogs are welcome.
