Stumbled across this looking for somewhere to eat that wasn't too pricey...lovely waitress, so pleasant and attentive. Meal good, only downside was no real ale.

There's nothing wrong with the Pickled Pig - the food was ok and reasonably priced but the place was uninspiring and not particularly busy. It does not have the ambience or a good view from the windows and is rather dark inside. Don't be too...More

We booked a table on our last night in the hotel as the weather forecast was awful and we didn't want to walk down into the town. Very pleased we gave it a try. Staff were very friendly, food arrived in reasonable time and more...More

Enjoyed a great overnight stay in a clean and very presentable room. My only quibble would be that I couldn't try my gin of choice as it was in the cocktail menu and it only came as a double. Being 5pm I couldn't quite stomach...More

Quite intimate surroundings and very attentive staff who go the extra mile to please your reservation. The meal selection is very good and presentation also but perhaps a tad light on quantity but that may just be me as I have a good appetite. Average...More

We had three evening meals at the Pickled Pig. The choice of dishes is quite small but adequate. The cooking was excellent except for overcooked chips on the third meal. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing that caused me to give four...More

A new gastro pub has opened in the heart of St Peter Port, at the Duke of Normandie Hotel in Lefebvre Street, called The Pickled Pig. Focusing on freshness, quality and flavour, and using seasonal, locally sourced food where possible, the menu has traditional pub favourites sitting alongside such dishes as Guernsey sea bass with crab risotto, and Pork belly with black pudding bon bons and potato and bean cassoulet. Vegetarian, and gluten free, items also feature on the menu. Our new, funky bar stocks a wide range of craft beers and hand pulled real ales, along with a carefully chosen wine list, with 15 wines available by the glass.
