As Bracewells was across from our holiday apartment, The Sail Loft, and recommended by them,we decided to book a table;well worth it! The restaurant is small, only 25 covers,so booking is vital. As other reviewers have mentioned, the menu is relatively small but eclectic. I can definitely recommend the scallops.excellent Also, the sweet menu has some unusual mixtures,I had the seaweed and honey panacotta... More

Super friendly but with unobtrusive service, small, intimate and comfortable. The food is in the experimental side, especially the desserts which tend to a less sweet offer than many: goats cheese brûlée, seaweed panna cotta, gin and tonic sorbet. All courses were delicious and came in large portions. Book, it's v popular, with good reason!!!

Unusual menu with 3 or 4 dishes available as starter/small or main/large portion. Salad with seaweed; scallops; prawn & cream tagliarini all excellent. Well cooked. Nicely served. Friendly service.

Incredible, inventive food: really worth making the trip for! Some unusual items on the menu - for example the Horseradish ice cream with rocket and parmesan was a stunner - worth the cost of the bill alone.

We had our best lunch of the holidays in this place. The owner is super friendly, making sure we had translations if need to be as we're not native speakers. We both enjoyed what we ate there, in particular the super fresh salmon sashimi and the home-made ice cream: you must try it! This place is one of the reason... More

Beautifully flavoured, fresh food cooked in a small restaurant. Quiet and relaxed. 5 of us at a table with white table cloths, and a pleasant plastic cover. Comfortable chairs/benches. My father is hard of hearing, but the small quiet ambiance was perfect and he could join in. 3 other couples were having intimate meals, and we were spaced appropriately apart.... More

I lived around la Rue du Croquet a while back and it was my Go To restaurant after work. I couldn't be bothered to cook cause for the price I paid and the yummy food I ate there, it was well worth the money...less the efforts of cooking and doing the dishes. I was a regular there because I simply... More

Bracewells is a small friendly and very individual restaurant serving a menu which makes you look twice, because the mix of ingredients is sometimes something of a shock. Horse radish, parmesan and rocket icecream being just one example which I simply had to try. And found it to be a brilliant combination. Very worth a visit, for a meal out... More

Bracewell's is a small restaurant at the bottom of the cobbled High Street. It has a very enjoyable intimate and homely atmosphere where conversations struck with neighbouring table guests is commonplace. Mary, the host, is most welcoming and friendly. The food is deliciously different and that in itself adds to the evenings entertainment, discussing ingredients and flavour combinations. We ate... More
