Called in on December 19th lunch time. Beware this place does not ask for Covid certs. Customers came in without face masks, no attempt to sign in and moved around the bar with nothing said. The female bar manager wore a face mask pulled down...below her chin. Had the place been busy which it wasn't and the kids less hungry we would have left.More

Greeted by friendly helpful staff, very professional and efficient checking covid credentials before showing us to our table. Breakfast menu was still running at 12 and I asked the friendly waitress was it possible to have Seafood Chowder...she checked in the kitchen and gave us...the thumbs up. Myself and my colleague were served 2 of the most delicious bowl's of Seafood Chowder full of taste and flavour. The bowl wasn't shy of a variety of seafood and was just the bizz on a Stormy day in Achill. Top class and very reasonably priced ! Back soon !!More

Spent a lovely few days in mulranney and achill end September. Ate at this restaurant twice.lovely food,lovely staff,very efficient and friendly. Covid 19 contact details taken. Can't wait to visit the area again and of course Alice's.

Had an evening meal and a lovely lunch here on our recent trip. The island is very busy and we did call ahead and book for dinner. The food was fresh and have a good selection on the specials board. I had the chicken keiv...and my husband the beef stir-fry both very good and tasty. We returned today for lunch and had an open prawn sandwich with salad which was heaped up with prawns and was delicious just what was needed and was thoroughly enjoyed by us both.More

Made an unfortunate mistake popping in for dinner. Had prawns and salmon as starters which were lovely. As main, we had the worst battered cod and steak burger in the area. The burger was dry, chewy and hell overcooked and served with a well rusty...knife, battered cod was yucky and greasy. Not really want to mention the poor professionalism and confusement amongst staff. According to the previous reviews, I would say the restaurant was used to be a good one in the past, but surely it was then..More

Spent a week in Achill and loved it. One of the best holidays we have had in years. We had food three times in Alice's and couldn't fault it. Lovely staff and well run...

We visited this venue with friends to watch the Mayo v’s Dublin match at the weekend. As expected the atmosphere was busy so service was somewhat haphazard. The food was ok. On leaving we discovered my husbands jacket was missing. Staff did take his number...incase it might show up but we never received the call. Unfortunately this is a venue that is let down by a mixed crowd and we have since learnt (from locals) that thieves are known to operate here, targeting tourists. Should you find yourselves here our advice would be to try one of the many options close by or choose to keep a close eye on all valuables.More

Brought 6 kids there last night....we had an absolute feast....really good value....beautiful food and such nice people working there....great views from inside too...I'd recommend the steak sandwich leaves you rolling out of the place

We had a family room for 2 adults and 3 kids, very clean, spacious and comfortable beds. Staff very friendl. Breakfast and bar menu had great choices, food was lovely. Great friendly staff and great service. Had a lovely Easter Sunday lunch with friends from...Achill, food was fab! Great stay in lovely place and will certainly be back!! Thank you to all.More

Stayed at the Ostan Oilean Acla on Achill Sound and really enjoyed the hotel. The staff were warm and welcoming and very helpful and the restaurant is first class. Our food was absolutely excellent and included freshly caught plaice, lamb roasted to perfection and a...stand out Full Irish breakfast. Our room was great and the hotel was warm in every area. Loved it and will stay there again.More

Right at the entrance to Achill sound, Alice’s is a warm retreat after a walk in the weather. Good food at a decent price. Friendly busy service day and night.
