Just had a family dinner hear at the last minute and it was lovely. We had 3 main courses and 2 kids meals (1 coeliac) and nothing was a bother to them even though we arrived 10 mins before closing. The portions are excellent and...the prices are good I would recommend it to anyone.More

Food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were lovely and friendly. You can have a nice little walk down to the Shannon after your meal.

Visiting this restaurant was a highlight. We arrived in town late, not having stopped for dinner, and were relieved to be directed here by our B&B hosts. We had one of the best meals of our trip: Bangers & Mash, "Southern Fried Chicken," and dessert...was wicked - Bread and Butter Pudding with Custard and Cream, and ice cream with homemade caramel sauce and a sprinkle of hot chocolate powder. You can see how much of an impression this place made!More

Looking for a good feed to get us on our way home and we were not disappointed with this place. Long time since I saw old style table cloths like these but they were clean and colourful and matched the decor. Breakfast ordered and tea,...coffee and toast soon arrived followed by breakfast with chips! Very tasty indeed and i could not finish mine. Only moan here was that our waiter did not drop back to see if we needed anything. In fact asked us as we paid our bill"was everything ok? " Still, have no problem recommending eating here and what a lovely village Glin is too. Will be back for sure.More

Had breakfast here, it is a nice spacious restaurant. There was a board advertising a two course lunch up to 6pm for€12.50. The breakfast we had was €8.00 which includes tea/coffee & toast. There were 2 sausages, 2 bacon, fried egg, black & white pudding,...beans & chips. It was very tasty & great value. Only thing l would change was bring the hot drinks nearer to the time the food is being served as if I had not already finished my coffee it would have been stone cold.More

Taste is very popular with local residents and business people for lunch. The food is plentiful, home style cooking. The menu is quite extensive for a small village and the staff are invariably friendly.

We dropped in here on a Saturday. The external signage wasn't very good and we almost missed it. A sandwich board on the footpath would help. Food choice was quite good. Service not quite so good. We waited at our table for our order to...be taken and in the end had to go up to the counter. They seemed a little nonplussed that we hadn't waited for service.More

Ok. I'm a dad of three boys 12/7/3. Visited a number of times both with and without them. Food always great no doubt. Reasonable prices. But today I feel like commenting with a hope that the staff can learn and develop. Today arrived for lunch....Plenty of space. Lady out quickly with menus/orders etc and drinks. Lovely coffee. Food landed. Great. Prompt. Had a chicken bacon apple salad with extra black pudding...Was delicious. Kids food great also. Then the disappointment. This is a malaise of many Irish cafes and restaurants. Had to send my son to order desserts at counter including coffee. No one cleared the dinner dishes. Dessert and lovely they were all arrived but it never dawned on staff to like whisk away the old plates?! Coffee never landed. Never asked were we ok etc. Charge for second coffee but had to correct this with staff. Not that I can't spare two Euro just the principle really. Glasses were a bit cloudy too. But that doesn't bother me that much. Just a little bit more attention to detail and engaging by staff would make this into a great spot. I will return but I hope that it will develop upwards. Best wishesMore
