Travel all over Ireland for but always enjoy coming to Lynam’s the most. The food, the people and the craic always makes the thought of the return journey worth it, and the Guinness of course. Thanks again, see you at the next BD!

Myself and a group of 7 other women stayed in Lynham’s hotel for two nights on 7th and 8th October 2022 for a hiking trip. From the moment we arrived on the Friday evening we were looked after so well, the manager Aoife was so...helpful and obliging as we were all paying separately , some with cash and some with card and some of us had a meal included in our booking, she was so efficient and on the ball. The food in the restaurant on both nights was delicious and very reasonably priced , would highly recommend the venison sausage, complement’s to the chef. There was a function in the hotel on the Saturday night as the local football team had won the county final so the hotel was extremely busy and the staff were run off their feet but when one of our group spilled an order of drinks because she was bumped into, the manager told the barman to replace or drinks with no charge. We were also given a tray of crisps and chocolate going to bed no charge when one of our group asked for some extra milk for the room to make tea. The hotel might not be 5 star but the service is definitely 5 star, well done to all the staff ,we will definitely be back for another weekend to Lynham’s Hotel .More
We shared the vegetable lasagne and fries and it was SOOO GOOOD. A real authentic Irish bar and restaurant. A special thank you to the female waitress - unfortunately we didn’t catch her name, but she just topped the whole experience👌🏼🤗
Little stop off point when on my adventures. Couldn't speak highly enough of all staff here, good atmosphere and always very welcomed! Nice pint of Guinness along with a cracking toastie! Special mention to Esther and Mary, always brilliant to deal with and will go...above and beyond 👌More
Amazing bar atmosphere with great local music! Was everything we were looking for after a long drive. Big menu, delicious food and Guinness.
Really neat atmosphere. Felt like an old, traditional Irish pub. Good Guinness , and good sodas for my non-imbibing wife.
family of 5, ordered blt which was toasted flat and over done, wife ordered ham and cheese sambo, bread was stale. Kids had chicken nuggets and chips, chips were reheats, chicken dry as dust. shared wings with my wife, they were deep fried and cooked...from frozen, emailed after to let them know, didn't even bother replying and that was 3 weeks ago, so now ill just leave a public review instead, lovely pub , but bad food on that day. wont be going backMore
We were staying in the area and decided to call into lynhams for some lunch and a few drinks. The staff were lovely and they served us pretty quickly with our drinks orders then our food. We decided on chicken ceasar salad and cajun chicken...salad and both were excellent I would recommend the hotel for a good meal if you are in the area and there's not a great selection of places to eat but this is a popular one.More
Overpriced for mediocre food. Visited here on the way back from beyond the trees, the food was very over priced for ehat it was, even the cesar Salad was 17e. Pint of Guinness overpriced also.
We went to Lynhams for lunch today after a few years since our last visit. It’s way overpriced and the food isn’t great at all. The “famous” beef & Guinness stew was like a bowl of dog food. One of ours came out freezing cold...so we sent it back to the kitchen, by the time we got it back the others at the table had finished eating & I was reluctant to eat it. The brown bread was nice though. Put some salt & pepper on the tables. We won’t be back.More
The perfect outdoor BBQ venue, with very tasty burgers, pulled pork fries, wings and sausages, all accompanied by nice cold drinks. A great atmosphere and lovely food. I’d love to see more places like this.
Used to visit here quite a bit with family when younger. Brought my own family whilst in the area for a holiday & was really disappointed. Waitress seemed completely fed up. Food was average and expensive for what it was, €16.95 for chicken goujons &...chips with a tiny dip! Sadly I won’t be returning.More
The staff were extremely welcoming. The locals in the pub were friendly too. The food and drink were fantastic. We loved our room- especially the bed which was huge and the shower which was lovely. The location is brilliant for walks. Head left near Laragh...car park to complete the Glendalough walk up the back of the mountain- it had amazing views. We will definitely be back.More
We stopped off here on the way home from Glendalough and left feeling ripped off and annoyed. The food took absolutely ages and only came after I asked a staff member where it was. The ploughman's platter was a huge disappointment - shop bought brown...bread, 2 slices of dry ham and some cheese with a bland salad and a couple of little pots of relish for 18 euro. Veg lasagne was a bowl of slop. One person asked how our meal was but walked away before I could answer. On paying nobody asked. I won't be returning and would caution anyone against eating here unless you fancy a long wait, very average over priced food. A waste of 98 euro.More
12 of us stayed here last night, not our first time in Lynams and certainly not our last After a long days walk it was such a treat to sit back and enjoy fabulous hospitality. A big thank you to Ciara for all her help during...the week. To all the restaurant staff well done for looking after our group. Without asking we came down to breakfast this morning and we had all been seated together. Food amazing. So a return visit will definitely be on the cards.More
