Amazing place. The atmosphere is wonderful. I arrived in camper-van and they allow you to stay in lower car park. The menu is good and lots of choice. I alway look at desert menu first to decide if starter or deserts win. Deserts tonight. Drinks...menu is also varied. I can’t recommend it enough. I’ll be back.More

After a very very long and cold and windy hike in glendalough we got a very warm welcome to this lovely restaurant. Staff had us seated and had our orders within 10 minutes. Everyone we dealt with was friendly. The food was so good aswell...and reasonably priced The restaurant was very very busy but enjoyable. Great end to a fantastic dayMore

We called to make a reservation for 11 only an hour before we arrive! They couldn't have been more accommodating, the restaurant itself was lovely and cosy. The service was amazing and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. All round an excellent trip and...we will be back 😬More

While the food was good, the highlight was the way that the staff dealt with us throughout our lunch visit today. It was a pleasure with the result that a group of 7 guests left very happy with their experience : - ) We will...certainly return and would recommend the venue to others. Particularly good to go there as we did for an early lunch after a morning walk in GlendaloughMore

Atmosphere, delicious food, excellent service, and a treasure we felt luck to find. As guests of The Heather House we received a discount. My husband had the full Irish Breakfast, and I had the BEST yogurt, granola with a raspberry topping that I can only...dream about!More

Pros: Beautiful surroundings, heated outdoors, Good Guinness, space at last minute. Cons: Forgot chips despite reminding them twice, when they arrived after our mains finished it was a tiny plate with no salt or condiments. Leftover plates stacked up on barrels outside inbetween tables attracting...loads of wasps and swooping birds. Superfood salad felt very much like leftover Sunday vegetables tossed on top of lettuce with cold chicken. French onion soup was told was vegetarian, very difficult to believe but just wanted to leave at this point. Our tables either side had to ask twice for their bill, the others were asking for their food after waiting a long time. Staff were nice but obviously too busy to remember what customers were asking. Been before, would avoid from now on.More

I like restaurants! Some of my most memorable experiences have come dining with people I love. Fortunately travel has allowed me to visit some which are exceptional and this is one of them. During a recent visit to Ireland we went walking the Wicklow Way...and were staying in Laragh. A reservation was made and we arrived to be shown to an area recessed within the restaurant. The decor was attractive but what really caught the eye was the many displays of books and other items relating to Ireland’s famous writers. The quality of the items was extraordinary as was the whole experience. I haven’t forgotten this review needs to touch upon the food which in my case varied from very good to exceptional . Service was outstanding given the challenges of a pandemic and we were all made welcome. The owner was attentive to the restaurant to the extent of checking that we were happy with our visit. If you happen to be in Ireland and have the opportunity to visit this restaurant or can make an excuse to do so you will be well rewarded in your choice. If you live in Ireland check out one of the cultural treasures even you may be unaware of. In summation this is not a cold fine dining experience it mixes all of the right ingredients to make for a restaurant with love on every plate.More

We visited as a group of 18 for a meal celebrating a golden anniversary. We had a variety of dishes from the menu and from the children’s menu. All the food was excellent and there was a lovely atmosphere. We didn’t feel rushed at all...and we felt that it was very good value for the food and service we received. The main thing that set Wicklow Heather into a league of its own was the standard of service. Every staff member we came across was outstanding but we were lucky enough to have Davina at our table. Apart from her friendliness and professionalism, she was one step ahead of what we might need at all times. She made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. We had a cake for the couple and she organised to bring it out with sparklers and music. It really added to the occasion and we really appreciated it. Cannot recommend Wicklow Heather highly enough!More

The good was nice (though perhaps a little overpriced) and the atmosphere was very nice. Staff were lovely, and we got a complimentary Bailey's. Really nice ambience and decoration.
