Just what we needed after our hike around the spinc. We were greeted at the door by wonderfully hostess named kelly she was very friendly and welcoming. It was quite busy so we waited at the bar and was served by delightful barmen Garry and...Prave who were very friendly and made great cocktails for me and my wife we soon got our table and got lamb stew and steak and both hit the spot after our cold hike we sat in quite small room but it cosy and comfortable great for me and my wife to talk. All in all it was amazing experience all round will definitely be running back soon.More

I enjoyed my meal at the Wicklow, the lamb stew was better here than in Galway. The amount of meat and vegetables in the bowl was very generous. Our waiter Avinash really made the experience. The whole of Irish are not very friendly. Avi made...my mom an I feel at home. Thank you Avi, you are appreciated.More

Returned after a great experience in January to a much poorer experience in February. Appears to have changed hands, food disappointing, portions a fraction of what they used to be. Room temperature cold. Staff overly intrusive, waited 50 mins between starter & main. €29 for...half a chicken supreme was extremely poor Value.More

We absolutely loved our experience in the Wicklow heather. We had Avi as our waiter and he was brilliant. He made our evening very enjoyable and even brought out an ice-cream for my birthday. Such a lovely gesture and really appreciated. We loved it so...much we came back for breakfast the next morning which was delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting glendalough or the Wicklow area. We will definitely return if we are up in Wicklow again.More

Server Avinash was knowledgeable and gracious to us! He did a great job serving and being generous. He was even knowledgeable about the history or the restaurant and items in the writers room. Thanks for a wonderful experience on our holiday.

Excellent service! Food was so tasty and fresh. We waited only about 20 min for food. The waitress Laura was amazing and took great care of us. We had our kids as well and she was so good. A very good experience!

It's always nice to return to this firm favourite in County Wicklow. Situated near the beautiful Glendalough Park, this traditional Irish restaurant is cozy, beautifully decorated at Christmas (as is the small town of Larah), and very welcoming. Staff is lovely, prices are medium to...high. Food is delicious.More

Wonderful experience, friendly wait staff, great food, and generous pour on my wine. We both had lamb, and it was super tender and the mint sauce was the real deal. Thanks for a wonderful experience 😊! I would definitely go back again. Harris McWade Groton...MassachusettsMore

Could not recommend this place enough, after a massive hike in Glendalough, we were very ready to sit down to a nice meal. Hidden in valley, we came across this restaurant on the way to laragh. A warm cosy atmosphere welcomed by our host. We...had the 'Game Terrine' and 'Three Fish' to start for main we went for the special, 'surf 'n' turf: and the 'Wicklow lamb'. Everything was cooked to perfection with the perfect accompaniments. My husband is generally weary of Lamb as he comes from a Co. Antrim sheep farm so to say we had high expectations would be an understatement, we were not disappointed. The fondant to finish and a cheeky wee complimentary Bailey's. A worth while visit.More

The food and atmosphere are lovely! Avi and his colleagues were so gracious and welcoming. They showed us that this is also a museum housing a variety of first edition classic books by well known Irish authors from James Joyce to Oscar Wilde and beyond....There's a beautiful room of mirrors - who knew!?! Drinkers, don't miss the robust whiskey bar. Thank you Avi and team, we'll be back soon!More
