Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent food, very nice service and ambience. It is on the expensive side but it’s a wonderful treat. I visited with friends and recommended the food and cocktails.

Great reviews set us up ….expectations were running high. Looked after very well on a busy night, but really noisy, small circular table for 6, and all a bit pressured, quite frankly. Wine expensive, not a sign of a vegetable with either starters or mains…and...portions not generous, but we all enjoyed the flavours. I do hope these reviews are not falling on deaf ears ?More

Amazing service and food. From arrival to exit, all staff were very courteous. The food was excellent and beautiful. Had scallops and monkfish and my husband had the lamb shank. The old fashioned he had was very well made and delicious. Would highly recommend and...look forward to going back. Enjoyed the atmosphere, feels luxurious.More

Visited 'Chakra' as it was suggested to us by quite a few. The visual experience was great. We had ordered: Starters: 1) Jal Tarag Scallops 2) Rangi Chicken Tasting Mains: 1) Rawat's Malai Monkfish 2) Kerala Lamb Pepper Fry Bread Basket Kids: Murgh Malai Tikka...- with korma sauce, rice, butter naan and dessert Fried Prawns - with korma sauce, rice, butter naan and dessert Desserts: Creme Brulee Belgian Chocolate Bahar Drinks: Chakra Passionfruit Martini Elderflower Daiquiri Mango, Saffron & Honey Lassi Mango Lassi for the Kids Chakra ticks all the boxes for visual representations of their dishes. When it comes to taste, well it did not match my expectations. I guess the dishes are tweaked too much that it looses its orginality. We enjoyed the starters and the kids liked their dishes. The mains....hmmm.... what can I say.... Rawat's Malai Monkfish - The monk fish was bland, a simple seasoning would have elevated the dish. Liked the cutlet and tomato rice though. Kerala Lamb Pepper Fry - I am quite sure this was in no way a 'Kerala' style dish. I come from Kerala and I am quite well versed with the distinct flavors of my home state. Desserts were thoroughly enjoyed and the show stopper was the "Creme Brulee" Will we come back... for the experience, Yes. For the food, I am not too sure. Probably it's the Indian in me looking for authentic tastes in Ireland.More

Lowest priced bottle of red, €41. Service took so long, by the time our starters arrived, we had finished the bottle. Food ok but not the best curry by a long way.

Wow wow wow !!! This was our second time eating here. We were impressed the first time and our latest meal on a busy Saturday night blew us away. The welcome, the ambiance, the decor, the friendly staff, the menu, the beautiful food. All of...it was perfect and really delicious. The four of us all ordered something different and each dish was a plate of perfection, beautiful flavours and presentation. The Kitchen obviously knows it’s stuff and the whole front of house staff were wonderful. All running smoothly under the fabulously effortless watchful Sanjeev who even sang me happy birthday. 10 out of 10. We will be back definitelyMore

Although we hadn’t dined in Chakra in Greystones the recent past we were really disappointed with our latest visit. In general, I would say that for the prices being charged we felt that the overall experience represented poor value for money. For example, starters priced...from €12 up to €18 seemed excessive for the quantity (and quality) of food presented. The main courses (from memory) hovered from the mid €20’s to the early €30’s and were good but not memorable. The wine list whilst extensive was expensive for a “mid level” restaurant. Lastly we felt that the service was surprisingly bad - we were forced to wait for over one hour between finishing our starter and the arrival of our main course which only came after we had asked our waiter to find out what was causing the long delay. Goodness knows how long we might have had to wait for our food had we not managed to get the attention of our waiter. Hardly an acceptable standard for an establishment charging these prices.More

Dinner in Chakra was a very pleasant experience, I was there with my family and my mother has a unusual allergy to chilli’s and our lovely waiter Niamh paid extra attention and the kitchen put together a dish specifically for her needs. I had a...delicious mix of foods in the form of the Northern Thaali and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting. We also found the seating very comfortable and the overall space very pretty and relaxing to be in. I will certainly be back again.More
