Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The food was delicious and the staff was very kind. The location is very good because it’s at the Center of the town. If you want to taste traditional Turkish and tasty food you definitely have to visit this restaurant.

Developed food poisoning after eating here and was ridiculed by the owner over reporting this as you can see in the image below.

We have been to this restaurant on a few occasions but today's visit was appalling. The waitress was lovely but run off her feet. We order a few dishes which were mediocre at most. The calamari was cold as was the chicken goujons. We sent...them back only to to that the goujons had been refried as one of them was broken the way we sent it back. The calamari had also been refried an and looked so thin and dried out. Needless to say, we sent them back. Would not eat in this restaurant again. The other waitress at the bar was so miserable!!More

I have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions before covid and loved it but tonight I was so disappointed/disgusted. I booked for 6:15. My son wanted to go for ages and it was his birthday. Early in the afternoon I received a...call to tell me we had to be out for 8:00pm. This was fine with us. However from 7:15 the waitress picked up anything we left down. We were so uncomfortable, they removed the jug of water even though it was half full, I had to hold onto my glass and two of my dishes. My husband eventually asked the waitress if she couldn’t wait for us to go. She said , you have till 8. I worked as a waitress as a student for many years and always leave a tip. This was the first time I ever left a restaurant without leaving a tip. My son stuffed his desert down at quick pace as he was upset and felt he had to leave even though it was 7:30. There was no need for this treatment, I was aware of the time but the staff lacked awareness and etiquette. Food was lovely but not worth the poor service. When my husband spoke to the manager there was no apology she just said she would speak to the staff but I wouldn’t hold my breath. So, so disappointed. It ruined our evening and my son’s birthday.More

Terrible food, awful service, nice location. The food is greasy and lacks any effort at all, it tastes like it all comes from the freezer.

Just home from celebrating my parents golden wedding anniversary in this wonderful restaurant. Our original plans in a higher priced restaurant fell through at the last minute and we took a chance on Las Tapas. Genuinely one of the best meals I’ve had in years....The atmosphere was great, the food was divine and the staff could not have been more delightful. If you’re in the area, this place is worth a visit. Many thanks to the staff for making a special night perfect.More

My husband and I visited Las Tapas this evening and despite the lukewarm/ disinterested reception from the waitress we enjoyed the experience. She directed us with a flick of her hand to "any" table. The waiter was pleasant and the food enjoyable the price reasonable....The waitress should brush up on her customer service and her mannersMore

I frequented Las Tapas on almost a weekly basis when it was in Cabinteely. Myself and my family travelled from Wexford to try out the Greystones restaurant this afternoon.@ The waitress did not greet us on arrival@. (She was not busy) We hesitantly sat ourselves...at a table. She approached us eventually, throwing 3 menus down(there were 4 of us). She didn't respond to our friendly hello. She abruptly asked us to call out the numbers from the menu, and not the actual dishes. She stared out the window and ignored us as we tried to order. She walked off without uttering a word. When leaving, we said thank you and goodbye. She looked up in the air and ignored us, while practically trampling on our 4 year old. The food had gone downhill too... The calamari was a single ring of squid, sliced into around 8 rings.More

Just what you would expect from a mid range tapas place. Not the best, not the worst. Nothing really outstanding and nothing too bad but perfect location when the sun is shining.

Visited recently with my partner. She is a vegan and found lots of choice on the menu. Service is excellent but not obtrusive. We had 7 dishes between us, two glasses of wine, two deserts and two coffees for under €100. Have had takeaways from...here during Covid which were very good but well worth the visit when it’s allowed. Couldn’t recommend more. A must visit in GreystonesMore

Tapas Meal was absolutely delicioius - Chef/owner own recipes - favourite include a Blackpudding, chorizo, spinach and chikpea dish; pate with beautiful briouche; tempura kig prawns and Chanquettes - crispy deep fried white bait - so fresh felt they came just out of the sea....Lovely ambience and got chatting to the chef who turned out to be the owner. The service was excellent - warm, friendly and efficient. If you have an hour or two to wile away and are looking for some light bites (they also have a main dish menu) this is an ideal spot.More

We visited here and had tapps this week. Overall I think the menu has improved over time. We had several tapps and it was all very good. There was a casual approach to Covid guidelines. We were not asked for certs on arrival, though we...did see other guests being asked. A group of 4 were shown to a table and sat there for a while before deciding to move to another table. the first table was never cleaned down or changed. Also a waitress removed 3 wine glasses from a table of 4 who were not using them and placed the glasses on another nearby table for use. They just didn't seem to understand good hygiene practices. We are all learning, and we would go back.More
