Picture the small, vibrant seaside town of Greystones, Co. Wicklow - bustling with locals & tourists, doing what people here love to do best, dining in, dining out, no matter the weather, socialising and sharing, over good food and good company. Then, picture Buoys Kitchen - serving great food to the good people of Greystones. A stylish look, relaxed and welcoming, with the wholehearted commitment to serving the best of local produce to your plates & good times to you, our customers.
Lovely evening spent here a couple of weeks ago, our server was Alex & she made our night! We had a few drinks here and I ordered the cesar salad which was a great portion and really nice! Will definitely be back when we can...againMore
Went for Sunday lunch with my husband. Got a lovely seat in a booth beside the window. Felt very safe as all the booths had screens between them. Very relaxing atmosphere with lovely piano music. Service was excellent, if not over friendly, and the food...was very very good. Had chowder and my husband had a cajun chicken ciabatta. The chowder was to die for, full of fish pieces and mussels and piping hot, best chowder I've had in a long while and the ciabatta was excellent. Really great lunch and can't wait for next visit.More
If food is art, the chef at Buoy's Kitchen is surely an artist. Ordered a simple bowl of granola for breakfast. What a feast for the eyes...natural yogurt, honey and a huge variety of berries. I almost didn't want to eat it given how perfect...it was. Of course, I did and it was delicious. Really set me up for my cliff walk to Bray.
Highly recommended :)More
My dear friend and I booked lunch for my birthday, great to be back out again, a bit of normal, forgotten how good it is to have your meal cooked and served to you, We always have a lovely experience in Bouys, home made chowder,...full of fish pieces, a meal in its self, but it was my birthday!! so we also ordered O'brother beer battered fresh Hake & chips, served with pea puree and tartar sauce, delish! Perfect light crispy batter the we like it, well done kitchen!! Washed it down with a light new world crisp white wine, frotty coffees to finish, to my delight I was presented with a candle lit chocolate slice after the coffees arrived, timing is everthing I think, perfect day, good food, relaxing safe surroundings, very busy place you do need to book in advance due to covid but so worth it, thank you to all the staff in and outside the kitchen, very professional and friendly eatery, open for breakfast every day up to 12pm and Dinner in the evening Thursday - Sunday 5-9pm. I am so glad they made it through the shut down, we would really miss them.More
I visited there yesterday & was impressed by the freestanding thermometer at the entrance to check the temperature of the patrons but sadly that's where the respect for health ends.
We were seated in the only available space which was right by the door but...that gave us a full view of the door, the customers entering the premises & the inconsistent checks.
One member of staff repeatedly asked people to check their temperature at the entrance but never once asked anyone to wear a face covering-which is now mandatory . On one occasion when he himself went outside I had to ask him to put his visor back on as he had gone back behind the counter & was preparing food. He also came in from outside after touching the front door handle without cleaning his hands .
The food is gorgeous. Well presented & tasty. The female members of staff polite & helpful but it is so relaxed in it's proceedings that it will quickly become a hot spot for infections.More
I went this restaurant after looking it online, nice photos, many options, but when I arrived the waiter was extremely rude and asked us to where we will seat in a ironically way, because he told we should book, but have many empty places and...I just point a table, he continues be rude all the time and after told just have Hamburger and no fish and chips, but I asked about the photos in the advertisement (calamari, fish, etc) and he told the restaurant didn't have any and probably someone mistake in the internet with the advertisement, but when we live we saw on the restaurant front one scream with all the photos of the FAKE ADVERTISEMENT!!!!!
I never will come back to this place, fake advertisement is a crime! Rude waiter and horrible service.More
75th Birthday 🎂 and the good was marvellous 👍
It was my mother’s 75th birthday and we were looking for somewhere to bring her for lunch. As a long time resident of Greystones the building will always be the “Copper Kettle” and over the years...has been many different restaurants.
The food was very nice. The starter mushroom bruschetta was more like a soup but was very nice. In all the food was amazing and the start were very nice.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
