This unpretentious general store/cafe is perfectly located away from the hordes of visitors to this area. And it has a stunning outlook of the valley, which can be enjoyed sitting under the cafe's veranda. They make very good coffee - the best in the area,...as far as we could tell. We were tempted by their array of home-made cakes. The healthy selection of salads and soup are a perfect antidote to an excess of Irish cooked breakfasts, too.More

A great pit stop in the Wicklow Mountains at the end of the military road, nice in cold weather when the log burner is lit, some nice cakes and coffee.

I loved the quality of the food, they have fresh meals and sweets and you can also do some shopping of very good products (pasta, biscuits, ecc). It is a relief finding a place like this when you are cycling all day!

I have stopped by this place a number of times, mainly cause I like their cakes. However I have to agree with another reviewer, that the service here can be grumpy! Sometimes too grumpy! You would expect better from a local spot, after all it's...not the only place around there! After having experienced grumpy service now on more than one occasion, I think it's time to try alternatives in the area!More

Lovely cake fair coffee, but service is a little grumpy at times and a little dear for what is on offer. As someone who lives near byl I was asked not to park in a public parking place out side here once.

Having had a wonderful walk around the lake today we stopped for a late lunch here. It was nice and friendly, the cakes looked great, we ordered the ‘Dish of the Day’ a spiced chick pea soup served with brown bread for €6.50. Well it...was nice, could have done with more stock in it ...... but it was a half bowl of soup and a very thin slice of bread! We had this in the back of a shop ... not in a 5* setting. They have a captive audience with the location ... but I think it was a bit too much to pay for a drop of soup. If the bowl had of been full and the bread a thick slice my view would have been different. It tasted a bit ‘Rip-off’ to me!More
