This was our first Sunday lunch at Rathsallagh in a number of years and boy was it worth the wait! From start to finish the experience was flawless. Excellent service (very good distancing and covid precautions too) and great food. The starters were amazing, soup,...wonderful salads and cold meats. The main was carvery style where you could sample beef, lamb, venison, and ham..even all four if you wanted. They were cooked to perfection, accompanying sides were great too. The wine list was reasonable priced with wines from 26 euro per bottle or 7 euro per glass. To finish, the desserts were also excellent, lemon tarts, creme brulee, fruit, cheeses..among others. All this including coffees to finish was good value at 40e per person (drinks extra). The house itself (and gardens) are absolutely stunning too. Can't wait for our next visit, thanks to Joe and his team for a wonderful afternoon!More

My daughter and fiance have booked Rathsallagh House in Dunlavin, County Wicklow for their wedding in April 2021. Having viewed numerous venues they were blown away by the professionalism, high standards and warmth of the staff in Rathsallagh House. They have full confidence that their...future wedding will be expertly managed by competent and friendly staff in Rathsallagh House. As mother of the bride I booked a night away in Rathsallagh House for my own wedding anniversary recently to check out the venue. My husband and I were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and shown to our beautiful bedroom overlooking greenery and shrubs at the front of the house. The bedroom and ensuite were beautifully decorated and so cosy. We walked around the Orangery and grounds and soaked up the clean country air. We met Joe, the original owner, and he was so welcoming and entertaining. A pre dinner drink beside one of the 3 open fires was so relaxing and enjoyable. The 2 drawing rooms are beautifully decorated and restful. Dinner was served by friendly and efficient staff and the food was delicious. Portions were very generous! After dinner we again retired to one of the drawing rooms and chatted to 2 couples who have also booked family weddings in Rathsallagh House. Nowhere else compares is what they told me! Breakfast was another wonderful experience with fresh orange juice, homemade yoghurt, delicious homemade brown bread, kedgeree and many more delicious choices. All served by warm and efficient staff members. We were very impressed and will return to Rathsallagh House again before the wedding and recommend it to friends and family. Thank you to Joe and to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable.More

We were lucky enough to be invited to a wedding at this beautiful country house and stayed over in one of the fabulous rooms. The location is out of the way but ideal for keeping everyone in the same place. 1st impressions very nice old...buildings with ivy creeping up the walls. Plenty room for parking also. We stayed in the Dovecot room and couldn't have been happier with the room . It was massive. The staff very hard working, friendly and polite, definitely a credit to the owner of the estate. The food at the wedding was some of the best I've ever had and everyone felt the same . The portions were plentiful. The breakfast the next morning was to the same level, unbelievable effort put into every detail. We consider ourselves lucky to be at Dan and Lauren wedding.More
