My husband and I stayed in the lovely Castle Leslie Just after Christmas and New Year. We stumbled across Ambledown Cottage, what a find, Erin and Luke looked after us so well. We had private dining in our own lovely little room, with a roaring fire and fabulous music. The pizzeria is byo. We really enjoyed our meal but the... More

We arrived to the evening pizzeria on a freezing January night. We did not know what to expect when we were seated in what seemed to be a garden shed. The table was lit by only candles. It would not be for everybody but our group of adults and kids got had a great time. Very good starters and pizzas.

Visited Ambledown Tea Rooms last week while we were staying at Castle Leslie. Good pizza's, cosy rooms & a BYO policy made for a very enjoyable evening. Recommended.

Ambledown was recommended to me as an evening dining option whilst staying at Castle Leslie. We were welcomed by a very pleasant member of staff and a roaring fire - most welcome on a very cold night! We enjoyed 2 fantastic starters - a Greek platter and mozzarella salad. Both were generous in portion size. We then enjoyed pizza. The... More

Had pizza with side orders here. Pizza was fine but the side orders were poor. Main contention though is the €7 corkage charge and €1.50 for a spoonful of dip! Ridiculous charges & wouldn't recommend the food.

Went with a group of friends & were shown to a lovely, cozy, quaint little room with a roaring fire in the corner. Starters were delish as was pizza & desserts. It's BYOB was which great. Had a very enjoyable evening & will definitely be back!

Have been several times to this restaurant for pizza and it's a quirky fun venue . I have also give n it a very good review on trip advisor . However on my most recent visit the starters were poor . The Greek feta came with something resembling pitta bread and it was as hard as a board .The pizza... More
