Memorable restaurant

Had the pleasure of dining recently in this great restaurant. From the moment we entered to the the time we left, we were treated to an evening of fantastic food and excellent service. Jithu made us feel so welcome and recommended particularly good dishes from the varied. All our group were impressed with every dish we ordered. We did leave some food behind us but that was our fault as we ordered way too much for three people and also due to the generous portion sizes. Highly recommend this restaurant for its fantastic food and excellent service, all in a very comfortable dining room. We will definitely be back.

Fabulous Restaurant

My friend booked this restaurant for her birthday as she had been here before and my god it was amazing. Such a lovely atmosphere, to the wonderful attentive staff to the gorgeous meal. You will not be hungry leaving this indian restaurant it was amazing. The portions are great value for the prices and the food was devine. We were recommended the starter platter instead of getting individual portions and there was more than enough. One of the girls working there helped me surprise our friend by bringing out cupcakes and candles after our meal while singing Happy Birthday with us like even just that small gesture was so kind. Thank you Ruchi we will defo be back again.

Lovely decor and ambience. Served by the Lovely waitress Elizabeth. She gave us advice on what to order based on our lives and the 3 of us ended up ordering food we'd nevertheless had before based on her recommendations. We had mixed starters which were delicious and our main courses were fabulous. Great servings and even had to bring home a doggy bag. Def be back.

Tasty takeaway food

The food here is very tasty. Have got a number of takeaways now and loved everything I ordered. Really nice front of house waitress, so friendly and warm. Nice restaurant. Only thing is they charge for rice of noodles separately which I think should be included in main course price. Other than that it is great.

Impeccable!

I was absolutely amazed at my time at Ruchi. The vibes were immaculate and the food is to die for. Everything has a distinct taste and they were able to cater to myself and my wifes desired spice level. The staff are so helpful and recommended very tasty dishes. They went over and beyond to make sure we were well looked after. This is truely authentic Indian food filled with flavours. I will definitely be back.

Today was a pleasant evening at Ruchi restaurant Portlaoise. Myself and my wife was travelling to cork, we stopped for some Indian food and we are happy to say Ruchi really looked after us. The food was delicious and amazing taste. We ordered two chicken biryani and it was full with flavours. Highly Recommended👌👍

Tasty and plentiful food

It was a Wednesday night. We were the only diners eating in although lots of takeaways being collected. We had great service from knowledgeable and professional staff. We selected all vegetarian/ vegan options and came away stuffed full. Poppadoms, Main course curry each Speciality rice each Side order to share A glass of wine (which was good) and a pint of cobra Bottle of tap water. All for €62. It was very tasty and we will definitely be back during our holiday in Portlaoise.

Best Indian in Ireland!

We had the best curries we've had so far in Ireland; the owner's recommendations were so good! My mom had a sag paneer & I had jalfrezi, and they were perfect. The presentation was so beautiful and bright and thoughtful. We loved the vibe and really appreciated the attention to detail and attentiveness of the staff. We had a great time and would highly recommend this restaurant. We love Indian food and this surpassed all of our expectations.

Poor food preparation

I never received a reply to a message I had sent them via their facebook page to not only make the owners aware but to also provide a photo. So maybe they’ll pay attention if I leave it here. I ordered a biryani for takeout and as I was eating it I spit what was a piece of a plastic bag out. Thankfully I didn’t choke on it. Disgusting. And for the price being charged for it, this should NEVER happen.

New Favourite Restaurant

Had a wonderful time here with family and friends. Upon arrival, we were welcomed into a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was absolutely second to none. The staff could not have been any friendlier or professional. As a lover of Indian food, the dishes served were absolutely delicious and the best I've had in a long time. I'm lucky enough to live locally, so it's definitely my new spot for a take away on a weekend or to visit again for a night out. Thanks to Ruchi for a great evening!

A really wonderful meal, can’t wait to go back

We were passing through Portlaoise and stopped into this wonderful restaurant for dinner. What a great decision as we enjoyed a most memorable meal. We were starving so we had starters, mains, sides, naan, the works! The food was excellent and was beautifully presented, the flavours in every dish brought out and different. The staff were all so friendly and we enjoyed a lovely chat with Elizabeth who looked after us so well. We will definitely call back to Ruchi restaurant again, we might even have to arrange a trip to Portlaoise especially to just eat here. Go here, you won’t regret…

Myself and 7 friends had food at Ruchi. From start to finish the experience was 5 star. The staff were very attentive and helpful the food was divine. We cannot wait to come back. Great size portions flavours and quality. Thanks so much for a wonderful evening. See you all again soon Claire

We choose Ruchi because of the great reviews and we were not disappointed. From the moment we entered the restaurant we were delighted by our choice. The staff were so pleasant, friendly & polite. The decor was beautiful. The restaurant was spotlessly clean. The food in Ruschi was absolutely fantastic, everything was freshly cooked & the flavours were amazing. The owner & all his staff were first class. We will definitely be going back there & highly recommend a visit. Martin & Phyl

Most likely one of the best Indian restaurants in the Midlands. My wife and son visited Ruchi a few weeks ago and were very happy. So when the opportunity arrived I had to take it and I'm very glad I did. The fantastic food was complemented by extremely great service. We will be back very soon.

Went to Ruchi restaurant for a birthday dinner with my family, the food was amazing, the service was amazing. Special thanks to the chef for the fabulous food especially the chicken 25. We will be back again very soon.
