Today I brought my niece and nephew for lunch in Gastro 101. They had not been before and we thought we would try somewhere new. I parked just beside Nicola Ross in front of the church. I had only 60 cent in coins so decided...I would pay for parking through my phone when I got inside afterI had ordered. So we ordered. Then I tried to pay for my parking. But parking on the Sallins Road in Naas is not covered by any parking app .I explained to the waitress and asked if they could charge me for a 1.10 shot of soda (on the menu) and give me a euro from the til to top up my parking. She said she would ask. She went off and stood talking to the manager and a girl behind the bar, for 10 minutes and then did not come back to me. I then asked the waiter. He said no. They don't do cashback. I said I am looking for one euro only, and you can charge me for something on the menus, such as the shot of soda. He said no, it is not our policy, My jaw was on the floor, I said please, ask, its only one euro, not a tenner, not even a fiver, one euro. Otherwise I will have to go and move my car to a car park. He said no, and he wouldnt ask. So, I had to get up, leave my hot food and 10 year old nephew and niece and go to the car, move it to the car park on wolfe tone street. Words fail me. They allowed me to order 58 euro of food. There was 2 other people in the restaurant. And this is how they oblige ? I left and messaged a group on Whatsapp with 14 members. Great food. The bruschetta with ricotta and goat cheese was amazing. My husband and I also split the rooster chicken Caesar and a burger and both were great. Cocktails also didn’t disappoint. Awesome service.

Food OK - mushroom risotto good portion but had little flavour, pasta and chicken burger were nice. Service good and surroundings nice but music over bearing. No tap water and €3.95 per bottle to purchase. This strategy is short sighted and will loose repeat local...business, same at Rustic in Naas which is a sister restaurant I believe. Will not be back to either if this strategy does not change.More

Not a place to go with family. Food isnt great, dom't do tap water or juice for kids, and its a hassle for staff. Wont go back again.

Fantastic atmosphere with tasty food and very friendly service. Wide selection of food and drinks ( watermelon sugar is my favourite ) . Definitely worth the hype! Will be back soon :)

Tap was not an option and it was a signal of thing to come. Expensive, food bland, greedy management would not recommend, service bad.

A group of 5 of us visited on a Tuesday evening, it had a good crowd in although not packed which is the way I like restaurants . Nice decor and music playing ,not too loud so we could all hear each other speaking ....The service was fantastic and very friendly staff. The food was lovely and large portions. We all enjoyed our meals and we will definitely return in the future.More
