We had dinner tonight at this quaint pub and were served delicious food and warm hospitality! Our server was cute as a button! We wish we’d gotten her name but she talked with us about her summer’s trip to America, namely that she’d loved Nashville, TN, where we live. 😊 My husband’s steak and my pork chop were both juicy and cooked to perfection. The “galaxy caramel cheesecake” for dessert was very good as well. Looking forward to our next trip to Ireland and hopefully, to this gastro pub. 😃

Three of us stopped here for food yesterday. It was a busy Saturday evening. We were driving back to Sligo from Dublin. We found this place by googling restaurants with a coeliac menu. Ivan was our amazing server. He went over and above to look after us. Ivan understood that being a server is so much more than just the food you serve people – it’s about looking after people, meeting their needs and making connections. He checked numerous things on the menu for us to see if they were suitable for a coeliac. He answered lots of questions and chatted to us about himself, his family and where he was from. The food was delicious and definitely gluten free, but it was the connection Ivan made with us that was the cherry on top. Thank you so much Ivan for looking after us!

We had a perfect stay here for a really delicious lunch. Alana's service was great! We felt warmly welcomed and served in the very best way. The soup and bread were homemade and tasted really marvellous. We' ll for sure come again.

Met with family for dinner for my mum second anniversary. I walked in was met by manager never welcomed just brought to table. We were there 5pm and all of roast of day was gone . We ended up with chicken gougons. It took 50 minutes to get our food .people came after us got served their food before us. Quality food average price overpriced. Pasta with sauce e10.95.when we finished and was leaving we passed the same manager and no acknowledgement was made. Unfriendly atmosphere. Won't be back

I Brought my mother and wife for lunch yesterday. I ordered the roast of the day which was pork, the potatoes were cold as were the vegetables, I didn't make a fuss as
My mother had to catch a bus . My wife had a special which was yellow Thai curry she only eat half she did not like . The curry was watery. My mother got fish
Of the day with no vegetables, it was only a fish and chips meal, not a fish of the day for a lunch menu.

One of us ordered a roast beef sandwich, sounds complicated, got exactly what was ordered two pieces of white bread, no butter no dressing & one slice of 'aged' beef. Presentation was dreadful. Spring rolls were the usual frozen type. The waiting staff were lovely and ours offered to remove the offending sandwich from the bill which we did appreciate. Would never return.

Just home after what could have been another lovely meal, as I previously had on Dec 22nd 2020. How very different I now feel after my visit there tonight. Soup was as good as I remembered, however main course a complete let down. The waitress told my friend & I the dish of the day was roast chicken with 3 different types of cheese. That sounded good so I went for it . The sides were skinny fries & salad so I asked for the sweet potato variety. When they arrived they looked like a more cremated version of McDonald’s chips. The chicken had batter on it & I keep waiting to bite the cheesy bit except it never happened. I explained this to the waitress when ordering my coffee. I expected some form of an apology but none was forthcoming. We left a tip & a different girl took our money & we just left the venue both feeling very deflated by the whole sorry experience. Very disappointed with the food & the very casual customer care. We were both recent birthday girls treating ourselves to a nice meal out - but it has just left us with a sad/bad aftertaste

The hamburgers are delicious, all Irish meat! The local staff is super polite and nice. We had a classic cheese and bacon hamburger and a fried chicken burger that we loved. You better reserve a table during the weekend.

First meal out since lockdown!
Pre booked table by texting mobile number which was so handy.
We were met at door and brought to our table. Everything was very clean and neat, plenty of staff on and all were wearing facemasks.
Great service from our server Alanna, food was delicious and really enjoyed the music playlist on system in background!
We thought it would be quiet on a monday evening but every table was full and there was a brilliant atmosphere in The Village Inn!
We are looking forward to visiting again very soon.

Myself my husband and our 3 girls visited here this weekend and we were all absolutely thrilled with our experience. Between us we had the roast, stir fry chicken and the vegan burrito, chips and onion rings. The vegan burrito was one of the tastiest ive ever had and to be honest my only regret is that we haven't visited before. Husband also opted for the apple pie and said it was delicious. The portions were generous too. Our servers were absolutely amazing and so friendly and helpful especially with our very young children. The place was really busy so you may need to book. I cannot wait to return. Hopefully they add a vegan dessert and then it would be perfect

We visited this evening with our family and from the moment we entered we felt so at ease and welcomed by the staff. We were shown to our table and our drinks were taken promptly. The waitress Alanna was outstanding in her professional and attentive manner. We had a few members with dietary requirements and Alanna was able to suggest and alter the menu accordingly. Our whole party had a lovely relaxed meal and we will definitely visit again. Thank you.

Last day in Ireland and out for stroll. Stopped at The Village Inn for a pint and lunch. Alanna, our server, was excellent, very professional and friendly. Roast beef was excellent and we topped off lunch with the Brambly Apple Pie which was really nice with vanilla ice cream and creme anglaise. Definitely worth a stop if your in the Celbridge area.

Lovely place. Great welcome. Couldn’t do enough for us. Orders taken and food arrived promptly. Food presentation good and tasted good. One suggestion might be to include a salad or two for those of us who might like to eat lightly from time to time

This is an absolute gem in Celbridge. Myself and my hubby have been going here for the past 3 years at least once a week. The food is one of the best examples of pub food I have enjoyed, which is matched by the outstanding service of all staff, in particular Ross who always accommodates us and Alana - She looked after our table quite a number of times and we were amazed of the brilliant service she provides.

We went here as a family , 2 adults and 2 kids. The food was awful. Everything tasted re-heated. Chicken wings were just ok, the sauce they put over them wasnt even heated up. The roast beef was dry,fatty and not fresh. Chicken burger is over priced for what you get. Tiny little fillet of chicken with barely any salad. We didn't even bother having desserts as everything else was so bad.
