Lovely breakfast and great service from the young guy working there. Would be five stars but lose one for not having pure orange juice to have with the breakfast. But totally recommended.

What a gem

Thank goodness for TripAdvisor. I wouldn’t have found this café if it wasn’t for it. And what a find. Beautiful properly strong coffee, the nicest staff, and a really delicious breakfast - beautifully cooked not a bit greasy. Lovely old-fashioned shop I’d guess turned into...a cafe sometime. When it comes down to experiences it’s all about the staff and the food quality, and this place is an absolute gem. There are too many expensively kitted out hipster coffee shops around, that forget about getting the basics right. Not here.More

Always outstanding service and food. By far the best place for breakfast/lunch/dinner in town, j-ones food is always the best, no disappointment. would be very hard to beat. Me and hubby love it. have been going there for years, staff always so friendly and accommodating,...always first choice for eating out! Barry and Mary lovely peope and quality service and food, also do catering very reasonable and excellent party food! couldn’t fault it if I tried 😀More

Always great food and staff are br

Food is always great here,prices are still very good(rare these days) hope the boss looks after the staff because they are always on the move and polite anf friendly.recommend here to anyone

Best in Co. Kildare

Lovely staff, great menu with even better pricing. Food is lovely. Best cafe in Athy. Lunchtime can be busy so get there early.

Wonderfully honest Cafe

Stopped here on a Sunday after checking google & trip advisor for a place in Athy. Wasn't dissapointed. Wonderfully honest cafe. Great food and service. It does what it says on the Tin. Scones and Coffee are top quality. You wont get better anywhere!

Lovely Cafe in Centre of Athy

Lovely cafe situated in the centre of Athy in the Square. It is a very busy spot and is ideal for breakfast, lunch and all offer a dinner menu. The staff are very friendly and the cafe is spotless clean.

good food, good service!

Friendly busy cafe, obviously very popular. Slightly noisy and 'cosy' table space area.. However excellent value for money, food delicious with good portions,fast service and very clean (hence being busy!). Highly recommend.

Very friendly

Located opposite the museum and perfect for breakfast, coffee or lunch. Scone snd coffee well priced and lots of people having full meals which looked good

Fun and friendly

J One is a lovely mom and pop restaurant owned and run by a lovely married couple called Barry and Mary. It’s friendly with excellent service lovely home cooked food especially Sunday lunch. Barry is a Liverpool supporter but don’t let put you off😂😂😂😂

Nice stop on the go

J1 never disappoints with their food and fabulous staff. It can get a little cramped but the staff and food more than make up for the lack of space

Cozy cafe with delicious food and lovely staff

J1 is a cozy cafe with hearty food at a cheap rate. Staff absolutely lovely. I love going there for breakfast. It's my sons absolutely favorite place to eat. Staff are very accommodating to any special request. Service is fast and food is always delicious....Great value for money and a lovely atmosphere.More
