Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had lunch here before which was extremely poor but decided to give it another chance for some dinner, place was empty which probably should have been a red flag but we proceeded we ordered the roast beef which was reheated in the microwave veg...was like it was cooked two days before, absolutely horrendous experience and no chance of returning again ,we also had a small child with us and let’s just say the bathroom wasn’t fit for purpose which I had to retreat to back seat of the car .More

Decided to visit this bar / restaurant after I had heard the food was good, and I was in need of a good breakfast, and it did not disappoint. A fine portion as can be seen from the photos. It was served with a friendly,...quick service, and I LOVED how the beans were served in a ramekin, that for me was the 5🌟 point, such a simple thing to do that makes a HUGE difference in enjoyment for me.More

Booked for breakfast in advance for Saturday 7/3/20 and Darren very promptly acknowledged my e-mail. There were 19 in our group but service was really quick and the food was delicious. Darren and his staff were really nice and friendly. We will definitely put the...Crookstown Inn on our list and go back again ....and again !! ! Highly recommended. Massive car park too.More

Love it here food is fab i have never had a bad meal in it, I eat here regularly as i work down the road so i would pop in for lunch every now and again, have also had a few big family meals here...and again never a problem, so we decided when we needed to host an event there was no better place than here the function room was beautifully laid out with round tables we had 30 odd heads for dinner and not 1 person was disappointed with their meal or the staff, I have to say we will definitely hold all our future events here and hats off to all the staff they are all so helpful and are doing a fantastic job in a very hard industry, many thanks to all 😊More

Had a meal here with family and was very poor from start to finish. Service poor and very slow was not a busy night either, staff laughing and chatting with one another rather then looking after their customers. Have eaten here a few times and...was good previously but the food has gone downhill so much. Would not eat here again I'm sorry to say.More

Stopped off for a coffee, and a cup of tea with my friends yesterday 08-08-2019. The service was great and we were given a plate of biscuits as an extra which was lovely! The lovely girl who served us was Christina and she was most...friendly and good at her job. I hope to call again!More

I am a regular customer and always come out satisfied. Staff is always friendly and food is good wholesome pub grub from breakfast to dinner. Roast beef is to die for and would also recommend the shakelton burger. Great kids menu and amazing desserts.

We're local, ate here over the years and it's gone downhill. Food is average. Service is good mainly. But the place is filthy dirty. The tables, chairs, blinds, walls - everything is dirty. My companion was served filthy dirty cutlery. My coffee cup had someone's...slop on it from a different serving. This place should not be open until it undergoes a complete deep clean. Sorry guys but that's the way it is. Clean up your act or close down.More

My wife and I recently went for dinner at this Inn and from entering we had a feeling we had made a mistake as our table was booked for 8 pm and they close at 9 pm, the atmosphere was non - existent with the...main focus of a number of the staff was watching horse racing on the TV. Our waitress was stressed out from the beginning but helpful and friendly, the menu was varied, we ordered starters which in fairness were edible, but the main problem came with my main course of homemade beef lasagne and chips which arrived around 8.45 ( by which time the majority of the staff were busy getting everything ready for tomorrows breakfast and closing ) I then cut into the hard and sections of pasta to find the Chef had forgot to add any sauce hence the reason it was dry, I then tried to eat the chips only to find it not only had a bad taste but also a smell which I could not recognise I then stopped eating my dinner and called over the waitress who accepted my comments as being correct, and offered me an alternative meal as long as it did not take more than 10 minutes to cook which I declined. In fairness to the waitress she took the cost of my meal off the bill, which we paid and went out of the Inn by 9 pm.Therefore, think again if you are considering eating in this place.More
