We are regular customers at Builin Blasta. Chef Heather is using all local organic products which means everything is fresh. The pastries are our weakness.

Not sure what if anything makes this cafe better than average! Had to wait for a table so that tells me it is doing something right. Food was good but nothing special we felt, and service a bit hit and miss.

Lovely little cafe set in amongst a collection of boutique artisan shops. Well worth a browse and then a coffee/tea or meal at the cafe. Food was fresh and lots of options. Fresh cinnamon buns were delicious

The staff were not friendly, spoke English amongst each other (it's a Gaeltacht cafe with an Irish language policy) and were continuing to clean glass cabinets etc in the cafe with chemical products while people were seated eating and drinking. (Couldn't they do that before they open?) The scarmbled egg portion was TINY and rubbery. I was expecting a nice... More

Happened upon this delightful place on our way back from a day out west. We will be back! Small comfy cafe/ restaurant with friendly staff - all in all a welcome respite from a brisk autumn afternoon. The menu has ample choice, lots of healthy options and ones to accommodate dietary needs, definitely something for everyone, all day breakfast options... More

This was a welcome stop. At our table was a big container of water with nettle and lemon in it what a welcome. This coffee shop is different with a very cosmopolitan menu and not over priced. The staff memebrs were attentive; the food tasty and of good quality. So enjoy the break and the buzz in the place.

We were lucky to be in Spiddal outside Galway to attend the first evening event at Builin Blasta on October 1st. This cafe/bakery usually closes at 5pm but has begun hosting a themed evening dinner once a month. We were met by the owner/chef who explained the fixed-price three course meal and served the table with complementary drinks. The choices... More

This is a lovely little coffee/tea shop but you can get lunch type food here as well. It does great homemade soup with lovely bread. Good value.

Scrumptious-looking cakes etc. We chose a lemon one which did not disappoint. The coffee was excellent and a special pleasure was the chai latte.
