Our family, 2adults and 2 kids went for lunch to the pier head. It's in a nice location on the pier in kinvara with good views from all dining areas. We had fish of the day, steak, calamari and 2 pasta bowls for the kids. Food was brought to the table fairly quickly. The food was tasty and no complaints... More

I ate at the Pier Head for dinner the night I arrived in Kinvara and the next day for lunch on St Patrick's Day. A lovely dining experience, efficient service, delicious food (especially the seafood chowder!) and reasonably priced.

Travelled from Gort on a recommendation to Kinvara and the Pier Head. Had the sirloin, cod and sea bass - all very good. Prices around €20 main course. Service good and friendly.

The Pier Head is a destination restaurant featuring fine dining with prices that are in keeping with the quality food choices and service. Irish beef, sea food is prepared and accompanied with sides of potato choice, and seasonal vegetables. A wine list is quite good and should meet most diners preferences.

I ate here this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it all. The food was lovely and great service too. The restaurant was quite busy so I advise booking a table. Will definitely return!

Visited this restaurant last year for a family event. Set in stunning location with wonderful views, 'The Pier Head' appeals to both locals and tourists alike. Excellent and efficient bar and waiting service even though extremely busy with a large number of family functions taking place that day.The set menu offered to our particular party was of an exceptionally high... During our short wintertrip we ate two times at The Pier Head. My fishplate was a good choice. Not my friends chicke that much. The second time I choose fresh fish Not bad but average. Prices are slichly too high for what you get. But if you have the cance and the money, have the fish platter.

We had our sons christening in the Pier Head last May. There were 20 of us in the upstairs room. It was a really sunny day and the views were beautiful. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the Pier Head for a family event

Of all our travels, domestically in the US and abroad, The Pier Head in tiny Kinvarra, Ireland has what my wife still calls 'the best steak I've ever eaten' - quite the testament considering some of the higher end places we've eaten. But The Pier Head was the culinary pinnacle of our collective trip to Ireland in Oct 2015 -... More
