My wife and I recently dropped into the Bogbean Cafe, Roundstone for morning coffee and a snack while travelling around Connemara. I’m glad we did as it was a brilliant experience. The staff were very attentive and friendly and even suggested some places to go see during our time in the area.
Coffee was excellent - one of the nicest cappuccinos I’ve ever had and the pastry was delicious too!
We were so taken by the food and excellent service we asked if they could organise take-away lunch rolls and hey presto it was no problem to them at all.
We called back there 2 or 3 days later for a revisit but unfortunately they were closed when we were passing through Roundstone. We’ll only have to arrange to go there again!!
Well done to all at Bogbean - a great place.

I visited The Bogbean Café for lunch whilst in Roundstone.
I was really pleased with the food offered here. There is a good range of toasted sandwiches served, as well as a few other things. I ordered the soup of the day, which was carrot and coconut, which sounded unusual. I opted for this and it was lovely; the coconut gave the soup a nice sweet taste, which was expertly offset by the more savoury flavour of the carrot. Gordon Ramsay would be pleased!
All food and drink that was served was very nicely presented.
To top things off, the staff were very friendly and we were served quickly and efficiently.
Overall, I can't think of anything off the top of my head that would have improved this place. I would definitely recommend paying this nice, independent café a visit if in the area!

We chanced upon this cafe by chance and encouraged to see it full so thought we should try it too for a light lunch. Outstanding homemade food and very friendly service. So nice to have delicious veggie options too.

Lovely coffee and scone in this small, busy spot. Friendly staff and good service. It's just a pity that plates and cups are all disposable. Even if they are compostable, one would have thought that pottery / china would be more sustainable

Really cute and cozy cafe. pastries and cakes were very good and the coffee was delicious. Menu is really nice for kids. Staff are lovely. Would definitely recommend!

best home made food and treats. Staff are super friendly. i have to say Noleen is probably makes the best cakes in Ireland… i love the viennese melts, red velvet cupcakes and coffee cake… i always have one there and take away something else for later… see you all soon !!!

Bogbean is a real treasure find !!! Stayed there last weekend with a group of kyacking friends. B&B spotless comfortable and great location. The food....glorious food....no words can describe the wonderful home cooking and baking....simply scrumptious 😋
Will definitely be making a return trip. 10/10 for Orla & Co.👍

This is a very pleasant little spot in a very pleasant little village. Excellent on social distancing. The cappuccino cake was very fresh and very delicious. Lovely staff.

Just had a fabulous lunch - salad, sandwich and soup. My husband said it was the best soup he’s had. Coffee was yum. Really friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Stayed for a night in the hotel with my mom & sister. The rooms were lovely and for the price I cannot fault it. Little bit of noise from the pubs outside but it did not dampen the experience.
The cafe downstairs is fantastic. The owners & staff were lovely and great to chat to.
All the cakes & deserts are made in house and are phenomenal! Good coffee. Breakfast with the room was great too.
Will be back myself for sure.

A nice small place, conveniently placed along the main road. Nice staff. Be careful, and some desserts have nuts. If you have allergies, I suggest you either get in and out quickly, or send someone else in to get your drinks.
